War of Emperium - August 16, 2010

When: August 16, 2010
Where: WoE2 Agits

The War of Emperium last August 16 had an unexpected tides of battle. I joined the Ruff Riders guild for this siege because I believe in their strategies and capabilities as a guild. Before the battles started, by default we went to our currently owned agit to defend it from possible attacks. The initial defense also provides us time to regrouping and wait for late members who are still preparing for WoE.

Not to long, our guild master had started scouting for possible targets in the next few minutes. As time passes by, we were Emergency Called into different agits. Our current agit on the other hand has been taken over by other guilds because we left it undefended.

The succeeding minutes proves that our guild is serious in taking over the opposing alliance home agits. Because of our guilds action, we caught the attention of the opposing alliance and in effect their alliance rushed into our currently owned agit with full force. The whole two hours of our guilds siege had been turned into an action packed siege from mere defending. We had great skirmishes and barricade battles as we respawn and attack.

My personal favorite part of that day's siege is the shot that I had above. Our guild currently had all barricades and guardian stones intact. We are in a situation where in we had the attention of the opposing guild. Because of the influx of attacks from the opposing guild we are forced to concentrate on defending one guardian stone while leaving the other guardian stone unattended. The unusual paths of Andlerangh Guardian stone rooms had given us an advantage. The funnel like design of the path made easy for our guild to defend the Guardian Stone room because the opposing alliance had no choice but to pass through the narrow road. Our guild could take down the attackers one after the other while the opposing guild had a hard time advancing. It's like the scene in 300 where the Spartans took advantage of the terrain. At the end of the siege we were able to defend the agit til the very end.
