Endless Tower is the first instance dungeon that was introduced in Ragnarok Online. From the first moment that we entered the dungeon, our guild had a great attention for this adventure. The challenge of clearing the 102 floors flooded with monsters has continuously pumped our interest on this tower. Our guild had an awesome moment during the Seventh Attempt so we immediately organized a follow up climb. To the readers who don’t have any idea about Endless Tower, please visit the iRO wiki site.
Previous Adventures:
Endless Tower gave our guild lots of fun, adrenaline rush and a strong sense of adventure. In return, we developed a more synchronized team and unparalleled strategies for each climb. Each time we make an attempt to conquer this tower our team shows a visible progress that we are surpassing the previous attempts that we had. Our team composition also evolves together with our strategies as we continue to rise up the tower. To have a clearer visuals on our adventures please visit the links below.
Our first two attempts were just trial versions and it’s nothing serious. The team composition and strategies at this stage is not even realized. It’s more of “surprise me on what’s ahead” adventure.
The Cast:
Our guild had a great adventure during the seventh attempt and most of our members demand for an early follow-up. Our latest strategy pumped up their morale and foresees that we could go beyond Beelzebub with enough time. Without hesitation, we began drafting the line-up for another attempt. The original line-up includes a Professor but due to uncontrolled circumstances our Professor was not able to play so we replaced the Professor with a High Priest. The final line-up is listed below.
- Rednegel a Paladin – main MVP killer for the high end MVPs and devotion support
- Angel-Linker a Soul Linker – soul linked support and main participant for the high end MVPs
- Blur a High Wizard – main mob control
- Rich Kid Herbert a Biochemist – MVP killer for low end MVPs and mob control for the upper floors
- Ju-Pao a Champion – MVP killer for low end MVP especially with Fallen Bishop Hibram
- BitterAngel a High Priest – main priest for support buffs
- Ayano a Sniper – mob control
- Shadow-Ace a Champion – main tank for low end MVPs and monsters on the upper floors
- Injong a Minstrel – main performer support
- Lite a High Priest – main priest for sanctuary and pnuema
- Fei Yen an Assassin Cross – MVP killer for low end MVP and main killer for Thorns
- Pak a High Priest – main priest for Assumptio
The Adventure:
Preparations:
The time between our seventh and eighth attempt were very close. Our guild had a little time to refill our stocks from our burned supplies. Thanks to the weekly hypermart sale, we were able to restock some of the precious supplies such as food buffs, bubble gum, buff scrolls, tokens and other consumables. During our briefings, same instructions were given to all members just like the seventh attempt. We had added an Assassin Cross with a Soul Destroyer build on the team because we are planning to use her skills with Entweihen Crothen. The team is positive that we will be able to reach the 100th floor this time and we might even meet with Naght Seiger if permitted.
5th Floor
MVP: Golden Thief Bug
Monsters: Female Thief Bug, Male Thief Bug, Thief Bug and Thief Bug Egg
Difficulty: No Sweat
Comment: So here we go again, we are starting our adventure with our first MVP the MVP Golden Thief Bug. As I have described on our previous adventures the floor of Golden Thief Bug is more of a give-away floor.
10th Floor
MVP: Mistress
Monster: Giant Hornet and Hornet
Difficulty: No Sweat
Comment: MVP Mistress’ floor is also an easy floor and great for warm up. All MVP killers were eager to shed some blood so the killing was fast.
15th Floor
MVP: Phreeoni and Maya
Monsters: Andre, Deniro, Piere and Ant Egg
Difficulty: Extremely Easy
Comment: MVP Phreeoni and MVP Maya on this floor is the first dual MVP room on the tower. Maya was the first to greet the team and shortly followed by Phreeoni. Both MVPs were taken down easily.
20th Floor
MVP: Drake
Monster: Pirate Skeleton
Difficulty: Very Easy
Comment: MVP Drake’s room has a very low difficulty level. Our prepared team just bombards Drake with all our might and he’s done.
25th Floor
MVP: Moonlight
Monster: Cat O’ Nine Tails and Ninetails
Difficulty: Easy to kill, Hard to spot
Comment: As our party gets some rage in sweeping each floor, MVP Moonlight had perfectly blended with the mobs. I tried so hard to spot her but my teammates were very fast in killing her. That is why I don’t have any shots from her alive.
30th Floor
MVP: White Lady
Monster: Evil Nymph
Difficulty: Easy to kill, Hard to spot
Comment: As we pass by the room of MVP White Lady, our party is cautious in spotting her. As expected White Lady was able to blend well with the Evil Nymphs around but we were able to notice her. Eventually we succeeded in killing her with enormous damage being thrown at her.
35th Floor
MVP: Turtle General
Monster: Freezer, Heater, Permeter, Assaulter and Solider
Difficulty: Easy
Comment: The turtle’s room is one of the most amazing rooms in Endless Tower. It consists of hard to kill turtles with their MVP Turtle General. This is the first room where in the role of the tank is clear because this will be the first MVP with high HP to survive most attacks.
40th Floor
MVP: Samurai Specter
Monster: Miyabi Doll, Shinobi, Tengu, Firelock Soldier and Karakasa
Difficulty: Easy
Comment: We are extra cautious in this room as always. MVP Samurai Specter has very high attack powers that can one-shot low HP characters. Most of our first timer teammates die here because of recklessness. As a remedy we are doing attacks at a distance except for our Champion. Our Champion needs to get close in order to release his Extremity Fist.
45th Floor
MVP: Osiris
Monster: Mummy, Ancient Mummy and Verit
Difficulty: Easy
Comment: At this point, the role of the tank is very visible now. MVP Osiris is a strong boss who can easily kill low HP members so it’s important that Osiris has its attention at the tank.
The rest of the members threw their attacks at a distance while our High Priests supported our tank.
50th Floor
MVP: Amon Ra and Pharaoh
Monster: Anubis, Matyr and Marduk
Difficulty: Easy
Comment: As our team ascends the tower we reached another dual MVP room. This time it’s the floor of MVP Amon Ra and MVP Pharaoh. Amon Ra was the first to attack our team but he was not able to do any severe damage on a single member. By the time we knocked out Amon Ra, Pharaoh rushed towards the team and began attacking our tank. The team bombarded him until he was finally defeated.
55th Floor
MVP: Evil Snake Lord
Monster: Medusa, Isis and Sidewinder
Difficulty: Easy
Comment: When we finally reached the 55th floor our first ghost-type MVP, Our High Wizard, Assassin Cross and Sniper were assigned to take MVP Evil Snake Lord down. As for me, I know that I’m useless on this room so I just watched and show my moral support.
60th Floor
MVP: Doppelganger and Boss Enigem Cenia
Monster: Enigem Cenia, Errende Ebecee, Kavatch Icarus, Laurell Weinder, Whickebine Tres and Armeyer Dinze
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Comment: The real challenge of the tower starts here at the 60th floor. The dual MVP of MVP Doppelganger and MVP Enigem Cenia had slightly increased the difficulty. Even if I did mention that the difficulty has slightly increased the room is still easy. Enigem Cenia has been found dead without notice because our team is eager to clear the rooms. Only the traces of her loots have been left behind. On the other hand, Doppelganger had been spotted easily because of his non-transparent mob.
65th Floor
MVP: Atroce
Monster: Galion
Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult
Comment: MVP Atroce has a large amount of brute force compared to the previous MVPs that we have encountered. Most of our travels we had casualties on this room so this time we let our tank do his work while the rest of the team kept their distance while attacking.
70th Floor
MVP: Orc Hero and Orc Lord
Monster: Orc Baby
Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult
Comment: The dual MVP room of MVP Orc Hero and MVP Orc Lord had the ambiance of angry Orcs. Our usual strategy for dual MVP room is to engage them separately but for this run both MVPs rush towards the party. Our tank managed to get the attention of Orc Hero while Orc Lord has gone wild attacking random party member. We managed to take down Orc Hero first while Orc Lord was able to unleashed his mighty Earthquake but eventually he was taken down also.
75th Floor
MVP: Dark Lord and Baphomet
Monster: Dark Illusion and Baphomet Jr
Difficulty: Difficult
Comment: The greatest dual MVP room was the room of MVP Dark Lord and MVP Baphomet. As I have said earlier our strategy regarding this floor is to engage them separately. We are lucky enough this time that we were able to encounter the MVPs separately. First to attack the team was Dark Lord and with our heavy attacks we were able to defeat Dark Lord fast. One of our members then lured Baphomet towards the team and with our heavy attacks again we were able to defeat Baphomet.
80th Floor
MVP: Fallen Bishop Hibram
Monster: Necromancer
Difficulty: Challenging
Comment: The room of MVP Fallen Bishop Hibram has always been the problem of our team. We are burning a lot of supplies whenever we engaged Hibram. As for our planned strategy, our tank made his position in front, the MVP killers were positioned at a distance while one of our support priests is positioned further away. We held that position for as long as our tank can withstand the attacks from Hibram. After a few minutes we were able to take down Fallen Bishop Hibram.
85th Floor
MVP: Ifrit
Monster: none
Difficulty: Extra Challenging
Comment: Our new strategy really works well with MVP Ifrit. We managed to save supplies, time and effort. The “magic” is very effective.
90th Floor
MVP: Valkyrie Rangis
Monster: Baroness of Retribution, False Angel and Lady Solace
Difficulty: Extra Challenging
Comment: The strategy also works well with MVP Valkyrie Rangis. Although we are not spared from each Earthquake she unleashed, we still managed to stand up, re-buff and continue the “magic”.
95th Floor
MVP: Beelzebub
Monster: Dragon Fly, Hunter Fly, Chonchon and Steel Chonchon
Difficulty: Extra Challenging
Comment: For MVP Beelzebub, we are also planning to use the same “magic” that we have. This room would be our team’s make-or-break room because we are unable to clear this room during our seventh attempt. In the process of doing the “magic”, we didn’t foresee the combo area status of Beelzebub. We have been interrupted for so many times with area stone curse and area sleep. Beelzebub’s Hell Judgement and Evil Land makes our job harder because we are being damaged to the point of dying. After sometime Beelzebub shows his true form and the frequency of interruptions also increases. I can say that we have a very hard time doing the “magic” here but we managed to finish the task even with continues interruptions.
100th Floor
MVP: Entweihen Crothen
Monster: Thorn of Recovery, Thorny Skeleton, Thorn of Magic and Thorn of Purification
Difficulty: Bloody Hard
Comment: Everyone is excited to be at the very top of the tower because it’s our first time. But our enjoyment didn’t last long because the Thorns were also eager and attacked us immediately. The angry Thorns wanted the excited intruders to fall off the tower! Since we have a rough plan on this floor, we tried first the Soul Destroyer and Storm Gust technique with Double Strafe on the side. Our high wizard felt bad because he is doing a 3-digit damage while the Soul Destroyer had a 5-digit damage. We continued doing this but it seems endless because another Thorn is healing our target Thorn with 9999. So they demanded for Acid Bomb, and I threw a few because I’m trying to save up for MVP Entweihen Crothen. I dealt an amazing damage higher than Soul Destroyer but I told them that I couldn’t keep throwing because I have a limited supply. We managed to kill only 1 Thorn but the time is running short. The situation became very desperate already so we told the team to just take shots as a remembrance while we wait for the instance to be destroyed.
The Analysis:
We made a giant progress during this run! The team composition is amazing and was able to withstand each room. The absence of a Professor is not a big hindrance for the team but the consumption of SP supply is slightly higher. Reaching the 100th floor is really a great leap for our team although we still didn’t managed to reach MVP Naght Seiger. On our next run, we will see to it that we will have a solid strategy for MVP Entweihen Crothen so that we will be assured that we can reach the 102nd floor. I’m looking forward to our next run!
Credits:
I would like to extend my warm thanks to each member of the team especially the participating guilds of this event namely Bozanstvena Staratelje and Armor of God. Without the members of this guild, this adventure wouldn’t be successful.
