New Cards Individually Released

Card system is a classic feature of Ragnarok Online where it is still being updated every now and then. Cards are specifically dropped by the monster it represents. For example a Poring Card is exclusively being dropped by Poring monsters. But of course at present day there are other means of getting this cards aside from looting it from the monster itself. kRO has cunningly released individual cards that were not part of big card updates.

Malangdo Culverts - 1st Attempt

Overview:
Malangdo Culverts is one of the two featured instance dungeon at Malangdo Island. The Malangdo Culverts are always clogged by vicious monsters and the Cats need some hands to clear them up. Volunteer adventurers are given access to the dungeon to clean up the sewers. But when you knew you cleared everything something monstrous will face your team.

Patchnotes are up and I'm late to post it.
I'm getting this late post habit now because our IP cannot access the pRO forums.
Anyways the good news is we have a modified experience and drop! Also we have the Christmas quest which I'm looking forward on doing because of the cute headgear.

Costume Making

Overview:
Costume headgears gave us the option to have a stylish gear on the outside while having a strong gear in the inside. Adventurers can now wear their WoE or PVP oriented headgears while looking good because of these costumes. Initial implementation of these costumes leans on the visual appeal of the gears but later on some have been blessed with minor stats.

War of Emperium Second Edition Edition Godly Items

Overview:
War of Emperium is one of the greatest strong features of Ragnarok Online. It is a guild versus guild feature where in great guilds can create gods for their effort in conquering Agits. The War of Emperium second edition covers 2 realms namely Valfreyja and Nidhoggur. This means that for this edition there exist 2 godly items that can be created.

Christmas Patch is here! and Halloween Patch is off.
Another WOE event has been implemented in the form Premier League. This is a late announcement but nonetheless it will spice up our guild clashes.

Ragnarok World Championship 2013 Results

The Ragnarok World Championship 2013 has commenced last November 24, 2013 in Shibuya, Japan. Only 6 teams has participated this year namely Philippines, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and China. The other official servers opted to concentrate their efforts on promoting competition at a local level. Lucky enough fans all over the world are given the chance to watch the matches and events through streaming at the RWC 2013 official site. A Japanese stream is also available. The streaming is only active during the event.

pRO had been conducting the selection process for our representative as early as beginning of the year through series of events. We have the regular agit lords or our server representatives, regionals to scout teams from selected provinces, wild card from votes and sure slot for the LU Live 2011 winner. Our representative came from Davao regionals and they were able to fly to Japan with ease. pRO made a point that all teams participating the RPC 2013 final 8 has passport so that they won't have a problem flying to other countries.

After an intense battle we now have the results. The RWC 2013 champion was bagged by Thailand showing a strong team play that they are very well prepared to a Mado strategy. Second place goes to Thailand.

Better Luck next time Team Pilipinas! We still have another shot next year.

Overview:

The War of Emperium first edition covers 4 realms namely Luina, Britoniah, Valkyrie and Greenwood Lake. This means that for this edition there exist 4 godly items that can be created.

Episode 14.3 Decisive Battle

Overview:
Morroc is the desert city located at the south west of Prontera. Little did we know that the name of the City was from Satan Morroc, a demon that was imprison by Thanatos at the center of the city. His name suddenly surfaced when the seal of Satan Morroc had been weakened and he was able to come out that led to the Destruction of Morroc city. The people of Morroc fled away from the city until Satan Morroc was defeated by the heroes of Midgard.

King Poring Event

Happy 10 years Philippine Ragnarok Online (pRO)! It is indeed a milestone both both gamers and publishers that our favorite MMORPG has reached a decade of adventure. 10 years of ups and downs was never easy for a game to survive this long and still continues to live on regardless of trials. And a better way to celebrate this is to have a memorable event.

Sealed Baphomet Shrine - 2nd Renewal Attempt

Overview:
Sealed Baphomet Shrine is an instance dungeon that was introduced after the crack dimension has been discovered. The seals that imprisons The Great Baphomet has been weakened when Satan Morroc has awakened. Renewal reached the shores of pRO, so now we are prepared to challenge the Great Baphomet again.

Finally Hall of the Abyss patch has been released on main servers. It contains Hall of the Abyss, Monster Transformation Scrolls and Biolabs level4. This is an exciting patch so go on adventure now.

Patch Notes: October 2, 2013

Patchnotes are up and I'm late in posting!



Though it's not yet late, We have a lot of on-going events like killing some crystals to get scrolls. This is still in connection with pRO's 10th anniversary. Only selected maps has these cyrstals so happy hunting.


We also have a WOE event called friendship cup. The event is more on conquering a lot of agits and you can give your points to friendly guilds. The highest guild to have the points will be the winner.


Last on my list is the hypermart new scroll . It is a very expensive scroll but contains a lot of new headgears including an animated Elven Ears!. Yes it is an animated mid costume headgear. Although some of the headgears on the list were given away as a CNR item there are a couple of headgears that are worth getting. I think that's all for now. Malangdo Weapon Enchant

Overview:
Enchantment has been popular to Ragnarok Online since renewal. It is a feature where in selected gears can be imbued with a stat that will make it a little more powerful. And now Malangdo has opened its doors for the Weapon enchantment.

Patchnotes are up and we have a Big News!

War of Emperium schedule has been changed so New Chaos and Valkyrie has the same schedule while New Loki and New Iris will have the same schedule. Because of this changes I have updated my War of Emperium page to reflect this changes. The GMs announced that the changes is prelude to the Hall of the Abyss patch but I'm overlooking at it as a move for future merging of servers. During the Midgard Congress they said that there will be no server merge this year but maybe next year? Well I maybe exaggerating things.

Modified Experience is extended this week so for those who haven't reach max level yet this is your time to shine.Friendship cup is also implemented this week so good luck to those who will be participating. Check the rest of the patchnotes after the break ~

Overview:
War of Emperium is one of the greatest strong features of Ragnarok Online. It is a guild versus guild feature where in great guilds can create gods for their effort to conquer Agits. Currently most servers has the War of Emperium which features the god items Sleipnir, Megingjard, Mjolnir and Brisingamen; and War of Emperium Second Edition which features Asprika and Brynhild. Now there is an expansion on these feature called War of Emperium Training Edition.

Patchnotes on my site is late once again. But I'm posting this for archiving purposes.

There is a controversial news on this week's patch. They have disabled the guild skill Emergency Call because of an upcoming event. They didn't reveal any further info regarding their plan so we'll have to wait on further details.

pRO Sakray is now open  for the Hall of the Abyss patch. I'm very much excited on this patch because it is an guild dungeon expansion for WOE1 agits. It's been a long time that the WOE1 dungeons were no longer interesting aside from the godly creation quest. People don't go to this dungeon anymore because most players have out leveled this monsters. Hoping to see the patch sooner.

Octopus Cave - 1st Attempt

Overview:
Octopus Cave is one of the two featured dungeons in Malangdo Island. The Octopus Cave is the home of Disgusting Octopus where a Starfish is guarding its entrance. The starfish somehow have a grudge on the MVP inside the dungeon.

Patch Notes: September 11, 2013

Patchnotes are since wednesday but I'm late in posting again. Apparently the forums is very slow in loading at the office. We are using a foreign IP so I'm not sure if that is a reason.

There will be no War of Emperium for all pRO servers on friday and saturday because we will be celebrating pRO's 10th anniversary at SM Skydome at North Edsa. The GMs prepared a lot of events and surprises like the Early Bird, Headgear contest, Artwork contest, Zeny o Bayong and many more. Everybody is encouraged to come and celebrate with the rest of the community. I will also be there but will be on low profile.

For ingame events we have Stat Reset and the usual events like Lotti Girl etc. A new headgear has been released so check that out. I think all the yummy events of pRO this week will be seen on Skydome. Read the rest of the notes after the break ~

Merchant's Pushcart Decoration

Overview:
Pushcart is one of the trademark feature of merchant class in which characters have a visible cart that they are dragging as they move. A quest skill called Change Cart has been introduced to let players choose different designs of their cart. The number of designs to choose from is based on the characters level. And now more designs are available with the release of the skill Pushcart Decoration.

Patch Notes: September 4, 2013

Patchnotes are in and there is a STAT Reset. First timers to avail the promo will have it free but succeeding resets will require a payment. From observation this event happens once a month so if cannot avail it this week there will be future patches that will feature this event.

Mainstay events has updates this week. Set of lucky scrolls were removed but another set will be replacing them at the hypermart. Lotti Girl has another set of prizes too. Rock Paper and Scissor remained the same.

New headgears are out! One headgear is released from the hypermart that suits fashionable women. The other one is an old school stylish headgear that can be converted as a costume just like previous headgears such as Boys Cap.

Malangdo Expedition

Malangdo Island is the land of the Cats. It is said that these cats are traders who had their ship wrecked on the island. As time pass by they settled on the island and became traders to Rune Midgard. And now adventurers can access the island and enrich their trades with them.

Regular promos are still here like Bossnia, Lotti Girl, Rock Paper Scissor, Lucky Scrolls and others. King Poring has ended and hopefully you have gathered enough coins to get the costume with stats.

More headgears are released though in my opinion none of these gears does not have a good stat or a cute factor against its price. I'm not sure if people would actually buy them.

Card Exchanger

Overview:
Cards is one of the core features of Ragnarok Online. These items gives a significant boost to players equipment when compounded. Each of these cards corresponds to an existing monster in-game though not all monsters have their own cards yet. The release of the card exchanger will somehow change how we treat our cards.

Finally I have time to post a timely patchnotes!

What I'm excited about this weeks patch is the introduction of creating costume headgears from old school headgears. How cool is that? We can now wear our favorite headgear without sacrificing our heavily invested stat based headgears. We can both have a good looking headgear behind a strong headgear. I hope you got my point. For these week Spiky Band and Romantic Flower has been released. They will be joining the other released headgears such as Boys Cap, Baphomet Horns and Bunny Band. Maybe in the future more old school headgears will be released.

We don't have special events for this week but the Siege series event and King Poring is still on our servers. The costume headgear from King Poring is worth it because it also gives a stat boost.

Mainstay events like Bossnia, Lotti Girl, Rock Paper and Scissor, Lucky Scrolls and others are still there. I think both PVM and GVG players will be busy this week. I think that's all I can say this week. Read the rest of the patchnotes after the break ~

Lucky Gurl

Lucky Gurl is a gambling NPC with a similar mechanics with Lotti Girl. She has her own set of high end items being given away.However not everyone can access Lucky Gurl for an endless gambling.

Hazy Forest - 1st Attempt

Overview:
Bifrost patch opens up another region in the New World called Mora. Mora is the native town of the Laphine tribe that protects the Yggdrassil Tree. It is located above the Splendid Town. In order to go through Mora, adventurers must first find its way out on the Hazy Forest.

Upgrading Ores

Overview:
Upgrading has been a core feature of Ragnarok Online. It is the process of adding more ATK and MATK on weapons and adding more DEF on armors depending on the upgrade level. All weapons and armors can under go this process unless specified on the item description. Godly items are notably cannot be upgraded.

Half Godly Items

Overview:
Godly Items is a core feature of Ragnarok Online as a rewards to strong guilds who prove themselves to the gods. Each of the existing War of Emperium realms corresponds to a godly item. As of the writing, Ragnarok Online has a total of six godly items namely Asprika, Brynhild, Sleipnir, Megingjard, Mjolnir and Brisingamen.

Nightmare Scaraba Hole

Overview:
Nightmare mode is a new dungeon being implemented on Ragnarok Online. Basically, it is a harder version of an existing map having an approximately three times harder than the normal version. Skills and stats of monsters on these dungeons are far better than its normal counter part so this dungeon offers a more challenging environment.

Endless Tower Renewal - 1st Attempt

Overview:
Endless Tower is the first instance dungeon that is implemented in Ragnarok Online. Since the time it was implemented my friends and I are up to the challenge on completing all floors and eventually will face the formidable Naght Seiger at the top.

10-10-10 Event

Overview:
2013 marks a special milestone on Philippine Ragnarok Online. This year we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of pRO. The GMs make it very special by releasing an event called 10-10-10. The event is a way of the pRO team to thank everyone for the support.

Cobra Energy Drink Enchant

Overview:
Philippine Ragnarok Online recently has tied up with Cobra Energy Drink. Cobra Energy Drink is a popular energy drink in our country with a tag line "Pag meron ka nito, Wala kang talo". The Cobra Energy drink event happens every Friday.

Patchnotes and I post it late again.

Bossnia looks like having the same fate as Lotti Girl. Bossnia became a weekly event but with a specific schedule of opening. They are now charging us more in order to enter the dungeon because we need to have a premium ON and we still need to purchase a Bossnia Ticket. I'm still undecided if starting from this patch I'll be removing Bossnia tags on the Patch Notes page. But we'll see.

Another set of cutie headgears is out. Though I won't be buying any of those, Black Shiba Inu Hat seems to have a good stats. It would be a nice PVM headgear.

LU Live is coming up this weekend. It's a little bit early on our calender because usually this is held every first week of November. We'll see what happens. There are also rumors that RWC 2013 might not push through or if it does it will only be for few countries. I guess that's all we have for this week. Read the rest of the patchnotes after the break.
