Patch Notes: June 29, 2011

Patchnotes are up before lunch but I didn't notice earlier because I had my lunch somewhere. Nothing is exciting aside from the fact that pRO is planning to selling Tao Gun Ka Card in hypermart for 1 day only on June 30, 2011 as stated in their official Facebook fanpage.

I'm actually surprise with the drastic move of pRO regarding selling of Tao Gun Ka Card in the hypermart. If you can remember 3 years ago pRO Valkyrie has been selling various MVP Cards that are not so game breaking. Every week they are featuring new Boss cards but somewhere down the line stopped because they said Gravity didn't want them to. Now they have the approval of their developers as they have stated in their official fanpage but Gravity is never mentioned on their statement. I'm not sure if their developers are the representative of Gravity. Also if you look closely on pRO Valkyrie, we only have 1 Tao Gunka Card which has been given as an ultimate prize on Midgard Rebellion Siege Series. When they start to sell the Tao Gunka Card it means that there will be more of them in the market. I'm not opposing this move of pRO but I see it as a legal RMT being promoted by pRO. I just hope that it's effect will not be as game breaking as what Donita and Ligaya did in the past where in the market is flooded with GR cards. Sura, Rune Knight and Royal Guard classes will have the maximum benefit of this card. At some point during the sieges they will surely emerge as IMBA considering that they have skills which are heavily based on MHP. Well lets see the long term effect of this drastic move if it will make sieges similar to a PVP setting where one hit kill fest exists. There are a lot of bug fixes coming and mostly it is implemented in New Loki. So I guess New Loki is the new problematic server now. Hope their player base will survive this just like Valkyrie.

Hypermart is still on sale all year round. None of the items caught my attention.

Ragnarok World Championship 2004

Ragnarok World Championship has always been the highlight of every competitive player of Ragnarok Online. But have you seen the old school competition of RWC? Well, I've been lurking in YouTube and found an interesting post which might tickle your sense of competition. It's the RWC 2004 competition in South Korea. I have no idea what the rules are before but it seems both teams are using only 1 Wizard and 1 Priest. Oh! you heard it right they are using 3-1 jobs. This is the time where the only available class is until 3-1 jobs only. The fun thing about the video is that it's a 9 on 9 chaotic battle. kRO Sakray's Renewal Skill Balance - Part 4

kRO Sakray has released another big patch this week regarding skill balancing for third jobs. The skill balancing includes major balancing to commonly used skills. The information was taken from the kRO patchnotes for this week. The one posted on my site is the translated skill balance from iRO wiki.

This will be the third big balancing patch applied on kRO Sakray. The focus of this update is balancing for 3-2 classes.

Patch Notes: June 22, 2011

Patch notes are up early after lunch. Nothing is special for this patch. I remeber GM Aeon broadcasting about a "pasabog" for Valkyrie last night but I can't see in the patch notes for this week. I don't know if I'm the only one who can remember this but lets see what the "pasabog' all about.

Normal Siege schedule is applied to all servers which marks the end of Midgard Rebellion Siege Series.

Bunny Bands for the upgrading event has been removed. The schedule for trading as far as I know is not yet announce. I hope they'll announce sooner so that people can plan their schedule to accomodate this event. Surely enought there will be lots of players who will be attending the trading event.

Lastly Hypermart is still on sale. What caught my attention is the Zodiac Headgear renunion on premium hypermart. From what I counted the only zodiac headgear that is not yet released for pRO is Capricorn. I hope to see this headgear on the reunion.

Also last week for TGK Scroll in the hypermart for F2P servers. Maybe this move of pRO will prevent the abuse of stacking TGK carded armor with the TGK scroll which will make your life way higher from normal. Its a good move by the way but I'm guessing that this scroll will have its come back somewhere in the future. lol

War of Emperium - June 6, 2011

I have not been posting any War of Emperium post for a long time now. There are a lot of things that happened during the time when I'm not posting anything until today. My former guild rhswrdzrnyvhgzxckljmcxv has decided to transfer to New Loki leaving everything behind. Because none of my friends wanted to transfer and personally I don't want to be bothered with starting from scratch again we decided to stay in Valkyrie. So life goes on in Valkyrie server for us.

Patch Notes: June 15, 2011

I don't know what happened but the patchnotes this week is extremely late. Maybe the GMs will be blaming the implementation of the Empty Bottle Script again. lol.

Well we have some good updates this week. The Bunny Band Upgrading Event is back but the mechanics and prizes are not yet released. In a few days we may see the final list of exchange items. For the old servers we will be having the Silver Bunny Band. I don't like to call it "Silvah" as mentioned on the patch notes coz I'm not a "Gangstah". lol. Just like the other Bunny Band shortening the item will be called SBB. I don't know but I have a feeling that this update is a rushed one because people on pRO are now getting bored because of lack of activities in-game. Maybe the GMs read the two threads on the Unified Forums that people are now getting board. For New Loki, Pink Bunny Band is implemented. For more info though I don't know if the list of exchange is the same with the previous Pink Bunny Band, read my Pink Bunny Band Upgrading Event post. Scroll down for the prize list. I hope it is still visible.

Empty Bottle issue is still on until the script for our servers has been successfully installed. For the benefit of those who are not aware, this is the third maintenance where the GM team is attempting to install the Empty Bottle NPC in Morroc. The first two patchnotes indicating the installation of the Empty Bottle NPC were false alarms. Although Empty Bottles are still available on the Premium Hypermart, we are still demanding for its availability without the use of ROK points!

Elven Piercing

Overview:
During the Beta days of pRO, the only available slotted mid gear is the epic Sunglasses [1]. The said item is only obtainable by opening an Old Violet Box. After some episodes the said item is no longer obtainable by any means. Those who already have the item was able to keep this valuable item up to the present. However, when Renewal hits the servers slotted mid gears are once again made available in-game. This time Elven Ears gained is former glory because currently it is the only mid gear that can undergo the Piercing process.

Patch Notes: June 8, 2011

Patchnotes for this week is late but just in time after the lunch break. No in-game events this week because the championship for the Philippine representative for RWC 2011 will be held this coming saturday. This most anticipated gaming event in pRO will be held in Skydome of SM North Edsa. I'm hoping that they could accomodate all pRO gamers who will surely flock the event area. I will be there to witness the event and to try my luck on the pick a prize side event. lol.

As a preparation for the give away prizes, the early bird headgears are now patched on the main servers. If your aiming for those event only headgears then go to the event area earlier than everyone else. Just to let everyone know that there are a lot of gamers who camp on the event area even before the event starts. So if your planning to do the same then good luck lining up early.

Godly equips have been enabled again. So I think this means that the midgard rebellion siege series is over. I lost tract of this event because my guild is not participating on this event.

Some bug fixes has been applied to the main servers. The Soul Linker job change fixed has been applied. Another memo wipe is applied to stuck areas. I'm getting a feeling that they are implementing this on a regular basis. After sometime, persistent players will always have their ways to get memo on those stuck areas. But somehow the memo wipe helps a bit to tone down abusers of false warps.

Finally! Empty Bottles are back on the NPC! I'm really looking forward to this day that they will finally provide a means to get an Empty Bottle without the use of ROK points. Good job to the GMs who pursued the implementation of these Empty Bottles back to where we buy them during pre-renewal. Now I'm being positive that the Treasure Box change will also reach Valkyrie server soon. But I guess none of the Valkyrians really care about its price because of our unusual inflated economy.

Lastly, hypermart is still on sale. Better check the items on sale before purchasing. You will surely save a lot of ROK points when purchasing goods only when they are on sale.

Memories of Ragnarok – pRO 6th Anniversary Quest

Overview:

The quest has been implemented at Valkyrie server last May 25, 2009. The main goal of the quest is to receive tickets from the Anniversary Ticket Girls. The Anniversary Ticket Girls are located in different places around Midgard. After receiving tickets you could convert that to in game prices listed. For more information about the quest kindly refer to the pRO site.

Start of Quest:

In order to start the quest, you must locate the Anniversary Ticket Girl at the center of Prontera. She will then instruct you on what to do in the quest. From time to time she will use the emotion /! indicating that she is the initiator of the quest.

Patch Notes: June 1, 2011

The patchnotes are posted just this lunch. No more modified experience. Nothing is special about this patch aside from the Empty Bottle being available on Premium Hypermart.

Yep you read it right. Empty Bottles are now sold in Hypermart on a bulk basis. It is now available in 100 and 500 pieces per box. How much it costs? I don't have an idea but lets check it out when the servers are up. Also note that the Empty Bottles are only avilable on the Premium Hypermart. This means that you must avail the Premium Service in order to purchase this item. But if you don't have a Premium you can still wait for players with premium to purchase the item and vend it for you. By the way this issue is concerning the F2P servers of pRO.

I thought they will be making Empty Bottles available in-game without the use of ROK points but I guess their decision leans more on gaining profit from this valued item. Maybe they have reasons that can't be divulge regarding the selling of Empty Bottles from an NPC. But I'm still hoping that they will make Empty Bottles obtainable in-game through a Daily Quest or maybe a Weekly Quest for an alternative way of getting this item.

The Siege event called Midgard Rebellion Siege Series is still up this week. I didn't tallied the score for this event so I don't know what was happening. Also our guild is not participating on this event so I'm not involved in this event at all.
