Midgard Summer Festival 2010

Overview:
Summer Festival is up again starting May 19, 2010. The Kafra Girls are ready to give away Summer Festival Tickets to all adventurers who seeks thrill in their Ragnarok life. Earn these tickets and exchange them with fabulous prizes. For detailed information regarding the quest please refer to the Ragnaboards site.



Previous Event:
The Midgard Summer Festival 2010 is previously known as pRO’s 6th Anniversary Quest. Adventurers are task to gather 6th Anniversary Festival Tickets on different locations. The total number of tickets for that quest is 102. Please visit Memories of Ragnarok – pRO 6th Anniversary Quest for the full story.

Characters who has finished the pRO’s 6th Anniversary Quest on the previous year has the privileged to get a bonus 10 Yggdrasil Berry from Festival Adventurer located at the center of Prontera.


Requirement:
Adventurers must be level 50 and above to perform the quest. The level requirement has been added because of recent abuse.

Start of Quest:
In order to start the quest, locate Summer Ticket Girl at the center of Prontera. She will give out details on how to perform the quest and then presents you with the list of locations of the Summer Ticket Girls assigned on the field.


Choose one location then check the quest window if the quest has been registered. To view the quest window press Alt + U and scroll for the Summer Festival. Double Click it and confirm the location that you have chosen.


After confirmation, travel to the location chosen. The locations available are divided into Easy, Middle, Difficult, High Task and Guild Dungeons. The amount of tickets given by the Kafra Girls depends on the difficulty of the map location. The harder the location the more tickets being given. Once a location is finished, you cannot repeat the map.


Special Note: Using Premium Service for this Quest will be very beneficial. You will have the luxury of using the Odin’s Warp to locate the Kafra Girls and to double the Summer Festival Tickets received from them.

~ Easy Locations ~
Easy Locations are categorized in such a way that it’s easy to locate and easy to travel on. The risk of facing a challenging situation is low. Using the Odin’s Warp provided for Premium Users will make the task easier. Traveling on foot would be difficult since Valkyrie has a setting where in the teleport skill is disabled which includes Acolyte skill Teleport, Creamy Card and Fly Wing.

Prontera Culverts
Travelling Risk: Not Risky because the monsters are manageable
Kafra Girl Location: Center of Prontera Culverts level 4

Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Prontera Culvert
Comments: Travelling on foot will be very difficult because of the depth of the dungeon. However the monsters on the area are manageable so it will not be a problem.




Byalan Dungeon
Travelling Risk: Risky because of the high density of monsters
Kafra Girl Location: Top Center of Byalan Dungeon level 5

Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Undersea Tunnel
Comments: Traveling here on foot would be tiresome because the Kafra Girl is located at the fifth level of the dungeon. The Odin’s Warp will only bring you to the third level so you still have to climb two more levels in order to reach the Kafra Girl. Be extra careful on the fourth and fifth level because there is an unusually high density of monsters camping near the portals.




Payon Dungeon
Traveling Risk: Less Risky
Kafra Girl Location: Center of Payon Dungeon level 5

Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Payon Cave
Comments: The location of the Kafra Girl is just beside the spawn point of Moonlight. Travelling on foot will be tedious because of the effort exerted to climb the five levels of the dungeon. The Odin’s warp on the other hand will only bring you up to the fourth level of the dungeon but walking towards the fifth level will not be a problem. At the fifth level expect a slight mob and persistent Nine Tails but can be easily be fled. Be extra careful on approaching the Kafra Girl because you might bump on Moonlight.




Coal Mines
Traveling Risk: Not Risky but confusing
Kafra Girl Location: Lower Left Part of Coal Mines level 3
Coordinates: mjo_dun03 23 49
Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Mjolnir Dead Pit
Comments: Traveling here on foot is easy because all you have to do is to go to Geffen or Al de Baran. Find a Kafra and choose the warp to Mt. Mjolnir Dead Pit. What makes this dungeon challenging is the maze structure of the map at the second level. Both adventurers who traveled on foot and odin’s warp will have a confusing experience on this.





Orc Village
Traveling Risk: Risky map because of the PK feature on the map
Kafra Girl Location: Lower left part of the second half of Orc Dungeon

Odin’s Warp: none
Comments: The Kafra in Prontera could warp you immediately at Orc Village however there is a high density of PK enthusiast on the map with unknown aggressiveness. If you’re lucky you could run towards the portal without being killed. But for a safer route use the Odin’s warp then choose Agits followed by Britoniah. From there exit on the lower right part of the map, then exit on the lower mid of that map. You’ll then arrive at the Orc Village positioned at the upper right part. Walk your way towards the center of the map by maneuvering your way on the right side of the map then find the entrance to the Orc Dungeon. From there everything will be easy.




Kunlun Dungeon!
Traveling Risk: Risky Map because of strong and annoying mob
Kafra Girl Location: Lower Mid of Kunlun Dungeon level 3

Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Hermit's Checkers
Comments: Travelling on foot on this dungeon will take so much time because there are a lot of maps to pass on before going to the dungeon itself and the second level also contains a maze map which is a hard thing for our server without a Teleport. The fastest route is using Odin’s Warp. Enter the dungeon then walk towards the Kafra Girl. Be careful not to trail Evil Nymph and Cloud Hermits. They are quite annoying and strong when mobbed.



Geffen Dungeon
Traveling Risk: Risky because of high mob density added with 2 MVPs on separate map and PK feature
Kafra Girl Location: Lower right of Geffen Dungeon level 3

Odin’s Warp: none
Comments: Odin’s warp will not help you this time so start your travel at the Geffen City. Walk towards the basement of the Geffen Tower to reach the first level. Then walk towards the second level of the tower. The map does not contain a high mob density but be careful on bumping with Dracula. Upon reaching the third level, be very vigilant because the map is full of mob plus Doppelganger surprisingly attacks you as well. Reaching the Kafra Girl at the lower right of the map will be challenging because as you walk towards her you might be luring a big mob trail because of the high density of monsters in the area.




Toy Factory
Traveling Risk: Not so risky but be careful of the PK feature
Kafra Girl Location: Near the center of the map of Toy Factory level 2

Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Toy Factory Warehouse
Comments: Travelling on foot is risky because the entrance to the Lutie Town is a PK map where in a lot of PK enthusiasts are standing by. Using the Odin’s Warp, choose Dungeons then Toy Factory Warehouse. Walk towards the center portal then locate the Kafra Girl by walking slightly towards the lower right.





~ Middle Locations ~
Middle Locations are maps categorized to be easy to travel but entails a slight risk on travelling. These maps range from low level to mid level dungeons. The use of Odin’s Warp as a means of travel will just help half way so most of the times expect travelling on foot.

Morroc Pyramids
Traveling Risk: Has a tendency to be risky because of mob density and PK feature
Kafra Girl Location: Mid area near the waters of Morroc Pyramids level 4

Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Inside Pyramid
Comments: The Morroc Pyramids has a tendency to be a risky mask. The PK feature is enabled on this map because it houses Osiris. The mob on this map is also high and creating a huge mob trail while walking is possible. Walking on foot is not that advisable because of the time it consumes to climb the dungeon. Walk towards the waters at the center of the last level of Morroc Pyramids to locate the Kafra Girl.





Sphinx Dungeon
Traveling Risk: Less Risky even if it has a PK feature
Kafra Girl Location: Near the entrance of Sphinx level 5

Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Sphinx
Comments: The Sphinx Dungeon is a less risky map although the top level is also a PK map because it houses Pharaoh. Travelling on foot is very hard because aside from the long walk from town all levels of the dungeon is a maze. As I have said earlier on our server teleport is disabled so figuring the right way on the maze is troublesome. The best option is to use the Odin’s Warp then walk your way to the fifth level of the dungeon.




Ice Dungeon!
Traveling Risk: Less Risky
Kafra Girl Location: Center of Ice Dungeon level 3

Odin’s Warp: New Dungeons > Ice Dungeon
Comments: The Ice Dungeon is a less risky map because monsters on the dungeon is slow moving and can be fled easily. Traveling on foot will be hard because the dungeon is too far away from any town. Using the Odin’s Warp, choose Ice Dungeon. The warp will bring you to the center of the first level and then walk your way up the third level. Be careful with the Ice Titans and Gazeti because they are the formidable monsters in the dungeon. Ktullanux might also be wandering on the third floor because someone might have performed the Ice Necklace Quest. As a precaution, wear an Unfrozen or Undead Armor to prevent frozen status. Assumptio will also be a good alternative protection to frozen status from the Frost Driver of Ice Titans.



Louyang Dungeon!
Traveling Risk: Less Risky
Kafra Girl Location: Upper Left of Louyang Dungeon level 3

Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Suei Long Gon
Comments: Traveling on foot will also be hard because the map is a Global Project which means from Alberta you still need to travel to the City of Louyang then to the dungeon. As always, the best way is to use the Odin’s Warp .The map is also a PK enabled map because it houses White Lady.




Magma Dungeon
Traveling Risk: Risky because of high mob density
Kafra Girl Location: Upper right part of Magma Dungeon level 2

Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Norgroad
Comments: Traveling on foot will be hard again because from Juno you need to walk several maps to reach the dungeon then climb to the second level. The second level has a high mob density so clearing the way as you walk towards the Kafra Girl will be the best option. Be careful in fleeing because you might create a large mob trail as you walk towards the Kafra Girl.




Sunken Ship
Traveling Risk: Risky but easy with support
Kafra Girl Location: Drake’s Room
Coordinates: treasure02 99 156
Odin’s Warp: New Dungeons > Sunken Ship
Comments: Traveling on foot or using the Odin’s Warp has a little difference because the Odin’s warp will only warp you on ship’s deck. Using the long route, Go to the ship at Alberta then warp to the Sunken Ship. The second level of the ship is full of Penomena, which will make your travel towards the Drake's room hard. When you reached Drake’s room carefully walk towards the center and talk to the Kafra Girl. Be warned that the room is full of Penomena and other monsters aside from the surprise spawn of Drake.




~ Difficult Locations ~
Difficult Locations are categorized according to the high risk it involves. The Kafra Girls assignments were hard to reach but some locations are made easy because of Odin’s Warp. Stronger monsters are expected inside the dungeons where the Kafra girls are assigned. Dungeons on this category fall under medium to high-level dungeons.

Glast Heim Prison
Traveling Risk: Slightly risky
Kafra Girl Location: Lower right of Glast Heim Prison
Coordinates: gl_prison 137 19
Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Glast Heim Underprison
Comments: Travelling on foot entails a lot of effort because there is no direct Kafra warp to Glast Heim from any Midgard Town. The only route to Glast Heim is from Geffen Town and it would take a lot of maps before entering the grounds of Glast Heim aside from the additional effort on travelling to the Glast Heim Prison. The monsters along the way entail less risk if evaded but might cause serious damage when attacked. Threat mobs would be Hunter Flies and Rybios.



Glast Heim Staircase
Traveling Risk: Not risky but confusing on the maze
Kafra Girl Location: Center of Glast Heim Staircase
Coordinates: gl_step 115 125
Odin’s Warp: none
Comments: Travelling on this map is tedious because of no direct warp. Using the Odin’s Warp the nearest would be Glast Heim Sewers warp then exit on the left mid of the map. The warp of the sewers will directly bring you to the center of Glast Heim Staircase. An alternative long route would be using the Odin’s Warp then choose Glast Heim Underprison. Walk until you reach the Glast Heim grounds then find the warp towards the Glast Heim Staircase at the lower left. Then find your way towards the center of the Glast Heim Staircase.



Glast Heim Castle!
Traveling Risk: Risky because of unpredictable mob density
Kafra Girl Location: Upper mid of Glast Heim Castle level 2

Odin’s Warp: none
Comments: There is no direct warp just like the other Glast Heim destinations even with Odin’s Warp. One of the ways to reach the map is to use the Odin’s warp for Glast Heim Underprison. Walk towards the Glast Heim Castle level 1 then to level 2. The mobs on this map are very powerful so be careful not to create a mob trail. Killing mobs as you walk your way to the center would be a better strategy or freezing them using a Garm Armor, Storm Gust or Frost Joke.




Mine Dungeon in Einbech
Traveling Risk: Not Risky but be careful with the PK feature
Kafra Girl Location: Lower right of Mine Dungeon level 2
Coordinates: ein_du02 285 21
Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Mine Dungeon
Comments: The map is not risky at all. Just be careful with the suicidal Obsidians and the hard-hitting Teddy Bears. The PK feature on this map will also add up with the challenge but there are few to no players leveling on the map. Traveling on foot will be very hard because the dungeon is situated a train away from Einbroch. The fastest way to reach Einbroch is through the airship, which is a slow transportation.




Turtle Island Dungeon
Traveling Risk: Risky because of mob and PK feature
Kafra Girl Location: Turtle General’s throne room
Coordinates: tur_dun04 104 112
Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Turtle Island Dungeon
Comments: Turtle dungeon is one of the ancient dungeons of Ragnarok. Traveling on foot will be difficult because before entering the Turtle dungeon you must perform the Turtle Dungeon Entrance Quest. When finished with the quest, climb your way to the fifth level and proceed to the throne room. Be extra careful with the mobs because all the turtles has high HP, has the tendency to mob and hits hard. Since the last level of the Turtle Dungeon houses Turtle General, the fifth level has a PK feature.




Umbala Dungeon
Traveling Risk: Not Risky because of high population of harvesters on the dungeon
Kafra Girl Location: Right mid near center of Umbala Dungeon level 2

Odin’s Warp: Dungeons > Umbala Dungeon
Comments: Traveling on foot will be difficult because of the natural maze characteristic of the map. The walkable paths are hard to determine because of the terrain feature. Using the Odin’s warp will just help a bit but you still have to figure out your way towards the location of the Kafra Girl.




Comodo Dungeon
Traveling Risk: Risky because of mob density and PK feature
Kafra Girl Location: Upper left part of Left Comodo Dungeon
Coordinates: beach_dun 41 215
Odin’s Warp: none
Comments: The dungeon itself is easy to locate because it’s near Comodo Town. The only way to get there is to travel on foot. While on the dungeon, Be extra careful with Tao Gunka that might spawn and the PK feature set on the map. The mob has also unusual spawn that might hinder your travel to the Kafra Girl.




~ High Task Locations ~
High Task Locations are categorized as very hard because of the risk it involves. The death risk is also high because most of the maps selected contain high-end monsters. Being careful on these maps will help but you also need proper gears and consumables in order to successfully receive tickets from the Kafra Girls.

Clock Tower – 1st level
Traveling Risk: None
Kafra Girl Location: Center of Clock Tower level 1
Coordinates: c_tower1 199 199
Odin’s Warp: none
Comments: An easy location categorized as High Task. Traveling here is the easiest of all the maps on the quest because it’s near the entrance of Clock Tower level 1. Locating the Kafra Girl is also damn easy. You’ll never miss it!




Clock Tower – 2nd Basement
Traveling Risk: Less Risk
Kafra Girl Location: Lower right of Clock Tower basement level 2
Coordinates: alde_dun02 262 39
Odin’s Warp: none
Comments: There is no direct warp to this map but traveling on foot will not be difficult also. Walk or use the Odin’s Warp to reach the third level of the Clock Tower. Walk towards the upper right part of the map with a green portal. This warp will directly bring you to the second basement of the clock tower beside the Kafra Girl. The clock tower as you know is a warp portal maze that lets you travel from basement to the upper floors.



Brasilis DungeonTraveling Risk: Slightly Risky
Kafra Girl Location: Slightly lower right part of Brasilis Dungeon
Coordinates: bra_dun 184 100
Odin’s Warp: none
Comments: Traveling on foot is the only option for this destination. Brasilis is part of the Global Project so the map could be reached using a boat ride at the Alberta Pier. When you reach the Brasilis town, perform the Brasilis Bathroom Blonde Quest in order to unlock the entrance to Brasilis Dungeon and locate the Kafra Girls. On the dungeon, the Piranhas are the only threat so be careful not to create a mob trail on them.





Thor Dungeon – 1st level
Traveling Risk: Risky
Kafra Girl Location: Upper right part near the Premium Warp of Thor Dungeon level 1

Odin’s Warp: New Dungeons > Thor's Volcano
Comments: Traveling on foot is very difficult on this map because the dungeon is located far from town. Inside the first level of the dungeon are extremely hard hitting monsters that will one shot you without proper gears. Using the Odin’s warp will ease all the burdens of travel because the Kafra Girl is just one click away.



Brasilis Dungeon
Traveling Risk: Slightly Risky
Kafra Girl Location: Near the previous Brasilis Dungeon Destination
Coordiantes: bra_dun 188 98
Odin’s Warp: none
Comments: The Kafra Girl is near the previous Brasilis destination. The guide at Ragnaboards site shows that the other Kafra Girl must be assigned at the other level of Brasilis Dungeon but in game it’s not. I have no clue as to why would they place 2 Kafra Girls on the same location.





Thor Dungeon – 3rd level
Traveling Risk: Extremely high risk
Kafra Girl Location: Lower right part of Thor Dungeon level 3

Odin’s Warp: none
Comments: Traveling on foot is very risky. I can say that this is the hardest among all the destinations on the quest. Wearing a fire armor and Alice compounded shield will help in reducing burst damage from the monsters on the dungeon. Assumptio buff and healing items will be a big help on your survival. Since Valkyrie server has no teleport, traveling with a party is recommended then purchase boxes of Giant Fly Wing. Giant Fly Wing lets the whole party teleport just like a normal Fly Wing. Your aim is to avoid damages as you travel towards the Kafra Girl. The third level of the dungeon will be very challenging because of high density of mob combined with burst damage from the monsters. Also bring Token of Ziegfried for instant resurrection because the map has a high death rate and you don’t want to waste the effort by just dying on the dungeon without getting the tickets. The PK feature is also enabled on this map because it houses the Ifrit. Be strategic on how to approach the Kafra Girl




~ Guild Dungeons ~
Guild Dungeons has a separate category but I would say it’s has a medium difficulty. The hard part of getting tickets on these dungeons would be joining an Agit holder guild. The only way to reach the guild dungeons is through the guild castles in which only members of the guild owners are permitted to enter.

Payon Guild Dungeon
Traveling Risk: Slightly risky
Kafra Girl Location: Upper mid of Greenwood Lake guild dungeon
Coordinates: gld_dun01 117 132
Odin’s Warp: Agits > Greenwood Lake
Comments: The first challenge for all guild dungeons is finding the switch inside the guild castle that lets you go the guild dungeon. Inside the Payon guild dungeon, there are no mob threads because you can flee the monsters easily. Be also mindful that all guild dungeons has a PK feature to players that are not part of the guild and it’s allies.



Alde Baran Guild Dungeon
Traveling Risk: Risky because of high mob density
Kafra Girl Location: Upper mid of Luina guild dungeon
Coordinates: gld_dun02 105 150
Odin’s Warp: Agits > Luina
Comments: The Luina guild dungeon has a very high monster density. Be careful not to trail mobs as you walk towards the Kafra Girl. The dungeon also houses Doppelganger so try to walk slowly but surely.



Prontera Guild Dungeon
Traveling Risk: Slightly risky
Kafra Girl Location: Lower mid of Valkyrie guild dungeon
Coordinates: gld_dun03 183 91
Odin’s Warp: Agits > Valkyrie
Comments: The Valkyrie dungeon doesn’t have a grave threat for survival. Just be careful with the fast moving monsters like Maya Purple and Maya. But overall getting the tickets on this dungeon would be easy.



Geffen Guild Dungeon
Traveling Risk: Risky
Kafra Girl Location: Upper mid of Britoniah guild dungeon
Coordinates: gld_dun04 187 236
Odin’s Warp: Agits > Britoniah
Comments: The Britoniah dungeon has the tendency to be risky because of the strong monsters inside the dungeon. Killing the mobs while traveling would be a great strategy. Another strategy would be walking close to the walls until the Kafra Girl has been reached. Be careful not to bump with Dark Lord that resides on this dungeon.



Rewards:
All the Kafra Girls on each destination gave away Summer Festival Tickets. For non-premium users the total accumulated tickets are 97 while for premium users the total accumulated tickets are194.


The tickets earned can be exchange for fabulous prizes with Ticket Redemption NPC. The prizes could be divided into Badges, Potions, Food Buffs and Headgears. For the badges, we have Bravery badges and Valor badges. For the potions, we have Light White Potions and Light Blue Potions. For Food Buffs, we have Steamed Tongue (STR), Hwergelmir’s Tonic (DEX) and Dragon Breath Cocktail (INT). All food buffs has the 30mins duration and buff disappears upon death. For the Headgears, we have Festival Grand Circlet Box, Festival Bunny Band and Helm of Summer Box (Solar God Helm sprite). All headgears has an expiration.
