Overview:

Comes with renewal is a new quest skill for merchant class. The skill aims to help merchants to buy items they needed while away. This is similar with selling items while away using the skill Vend. It’s called Open Buying Store.

Geneticist’s Homunculus S Skills

The mutated homunculus also known as homunculus S is an advance version of the current homunculus that alchemist class have. Little has been known with these summons because only few players were able to meet the requirements. In order for the homunculus to mutate, we need a level 99 evolved and loyal Vanilmirth, Lif, Filir, or Amistr homunculus. They can be changed to one of the mutated homunculus namely Bayeri, Dieter, Eira, Sera, Eleanor. From what I read. the skills of your current homunculus will remain upon mutation and the succeeding skills will depend on the mutated homunculus you'll choose. The list of skills has been released already but there are no information regarding which skill belongs to which mutated homunculus yet. Sorcerer’s Spirit Skills

I'm going to post the different Sorcerer Spirit Skills. These spirit skills has been integrated within the skill tree of Sorcerers. The spirits has its own skills and benefits based on the spirit summoned and its current mode. Details of the skills are written after the break. Overview:

Renewal has been around for a while now. The game masters finally decided to release a free stat reset due to the clamor from the community. Renewal made a lot changes in Ragnarok which includes the effectiveness of stats.

Patch Notes: October 27, 2010

Good News! Modified Experience this week and the grind fest officially begins today. I'm excited in leveling my characters to 150/50. I hope I can attain that level even with one of my characters. Get ready to spend some cash on field manuals and premium. Maximize your time leveling by using these items.

Also added to the notes is the Halloween Event. I have a guess that its the same event where in monsters randomly spawns on towns. I'm looking forward on seeing new Halloween event this year.

Another good news! Stat reset has been extended for another week. This means that we could still avail the one time free reset. Avail the reset now so that you could cope with the Renewal changes.

Another superb news! Archbishop job change also gained a special Valkyrie NPC just like what the Rune Knights and Guillotine Cross got. Now the trouble of job changing to Archbishop will be easier.

Repairing Guardian Stone

Overview:
War of the Emperium has reshaped with the release of WoE Second Edition. The Second Edition had a different mechanics where in the offensive guild must go through a series of events in order to reach the Emperium room. First they must take down the two Guardian Stones then the Barricades and finally the Emperium. Ten Agits had been up for grabs with the said mechanics. Five agits were discovered from Juno and another five in Rachel. Each Agit had Guardian Stones and Barricades. If the offensive guild had to destroy the Guardian Stones and Barricades, the defensive guild had the ability to repair them. Only the guild master can repair the Barricades but any member of the owning agit can Repair the Guardian Stones. For a quick background please visit this the ragnarok-ph site.

Large Baphomet Horns Making

Overview:
The release of Episode 12 Demise of Morroc gave birth to different gears that are designed for PVP and guild battles. The Large Baphomet Horns is one of them that caused hyped up to this date because of its impressive stats. So far the Large Baphomet Horns is highest demi human reduction for head gear. The availability of the item started in parallel with the release of episode 12. Most of the players who loves sieges and pvp wear this as a standard headgear. Because of this the Large Baphomet Horns became the most popular headgear for siege.

Geneticist Job Change Experience

Overview:
Geneticists are the 3rd jobs for Alchemists and Biochemists. Their role of creating artificial life and summoning has been improved. Their cart skills has also been boosted with the aid of Cart Remodeling, Cart Tornado, Cart Cannon and Cart Boost. They can create more alchemic materials now with their skill Special Pharmacy, Mixed Cooking and Bomb Creation. Their summoning of plants has been expanded to aid them in their battles such as Howling of Mandragora, Crazy Weed, Thorn Wall and others. Their homunculus can be mutated to become a more powerful summon however it is not release as of the moment.

Royal Guard Job Change Experience

Overview:

Royal Guards are the 3rd jobs for Crusaders and Paladins. Their role leans towards tanking, defensive support and a little offensive. Their defensive skills such as Reflect Damage and Prestige are improvements with their current arsenal. Their skills Hesperus Lit and Ray of Genesis requires other Royal Guards to perform the skill while in Banding. And the more Royal Guards in Banding the greater the damage and bonus attributes received. Their offensive side has been improved also with the dawn of Overbrand and Exceed Break. Ultimately, they have a special skill which makes them immune to most status ailment and adds bonus attributes called Inspiration.

Archbishop Job Change Experience

Overview:
Archbishops are the 3rd jobs for Priests and High Priests. Their role lean towards party support and exorcism. A lot of their support buffs has been enforced by making it wide buffs. The exorcism side has also been improved with the addition of Judex, Adoramus and Oratio. Although healing amount has been nerfed, Archbishops now has a lot of healing skills like Renovatio, Epiclesis, Coluseo Heal and High Heal. Even though not a popular build, Battle Priests are improved with the aid of Duple Light and Expiatio.

Patch Notes: October 20, 2010

The second week of Renewal is here! I hope the bugs that we have reported will be addressed soon especially the job change NPCs for Rune Knight, Guillotine Cross and Archbishop. It's really frustrating to job change just by camping for more than 3 days and find yourself stuck with other people on the job change area. Although I already have changed my High Priest into an Archbishop, I still feel the clamor of my fellow players who is still in the process of job changing.

What I like about renewal were the promotion of party system. On Valkyrie server, its really clear that the party system has been relived by the players. It's like having a crowd control quest on a mob area. Currently the most camped maps on our server were Magmarings, Magma Dungeon and Juperos Dungeon. I also like the buff timers on each icon. Mousing over the icon will show you the exact duration of the buff including Insurance and Field Manuals. The adventure in Ragnarok is never the same again. I can feel that it is more balance now than before.

And another good news. FREE STAT RESET is available for 1 time use only! Thank you to the management of pRO who has decided to hear the voices of the community in giving away a free stat reset. You can reset up to 7 times but from 2nd to 7th time will no longer be free.

There aren't special events in-game but hey everyone is still enjoying the Renewal patch. Coupled with this patch is a huge item mall sale so maximize your leveling up with the aid of hypermart. As a personal preference, I will be hording a lot of Advance Field Manuals and Job Manuals to maximize my 3rd job leveling and to take advantage of the Daily Quests.

Nidhoggur’s Nest

Overview:
Episode 13.2 made our adventures exciting again with the addition of a new instance dungeon called Nidhoggur’s Nest. The dungeon found in the New World features two levels of mazes and a boss room that houses the dreaded Nidhoggur’s Shadow. Nidhoggur’s Shadow is said to have resided on the roots of Yggdrasil tree devouring the nutrients from the roots. The Lapine tribe at the west part of Midcamp is seeking for the help of adventurers to stop Nidhoggur’s Shadow from draining life out of the Yggdrasil tree.

Last Days of Nidhoggur Farming

Renewal had become a common news to all Ragnarok enthusiasts. The expected changes brought about by renewal was drastic. Almost everything will be changed when renewal hits the main servers. As preparation my friend Angel_Fist has thought of farming the item "Piece of Agent Skin [1]" before it will be impossible to do so.

Patch Notes: October 13, 2010

Renewal is officially released on the commercial server of pRO! I'm excited on the renewal changes to our servers especially the implementation of the 3rd jobs. It's a major patch that is estimated to last until 7 in the evening. Even with the hype brought by the patch, the GMs already released an advisory regarding known bugs and down maps. It's sad to say that with renewal we will also be bearing with bugs that may arise. With the renewal patch there are a lot of hypermart discounts and new gears so check them out also. Renewal Background Story

Renewal is fast approaching. Two more days to go and everything that you know of Midgard will change. The landscape of leveling up, boss hunting, instance dungeons, guild sieges and pvps will also change as the world of Ragnarok is renewed. With my instinctive web browsing I was able to look at the background story created by iRO at Warp Portal. I read them all and they have a very nice story behind the renewal.

Aside from the Renewal Update background story, they also have class specific story. Each job class has its own story on how they came about in Ragnarok Online. For the rest of background stories please read after the break.

Last Minutes of euRO

Ragnarok Online Europe also known as euRO has come to its end. I found a video posted at ragnaboards capturing the last moments of the players who bid good bye to their servers. The servers of euRO has shut down last September 30, 2010 because they failed to renew their license with Gravity Inc. From what I've read euRO players will be transferring to Ragnarok Online France (fRO). I have no idea with the legalities of their transfer but it's so sad for their part to say good bye to their dear server. For additional info you can read the iRO wiki forums.

While I'm watching the video a lot of memories suddenly flashed back. The background music "Streamside" made it even more touching because it's the first field BGM that you will hear during the beta days of pRO. I'm touched with the video because it shows the last good byes of the players with their dear server together with their friends, guildmates and even strangers.

Patch Notes: October 6, 2010

Patch notes are up yesterday afternoon and there's nothing special this week. Well most of the patch notes contains hypermart sale. Players who were saving up for Gym Pass and Neuralizer, this is your time to get the items at a very cheap price. There's nothing more to say about the patch so read the rest of the write up after the jump.

Ragnarok World Championship 2010 Results

The Ragnarok World Championship 2010 has commenced last October 2 and 3 at Jakarta Indonesia. Eleven countries had joined the championship namely Philippines, Brazil, France, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, China, Thailand, Malaysia, USA and Taiwan. Fans all over the world has been given a chance to watch the matches thru a live streaming hosted at ustream site but due to crappy reception our viewing is terrible.

Our countries representative had been chosen from the champion of Ragnarok Philippine Championship 2010 (RPC2010) road to Indonesia. At the end of RPC 2010, the pride of our country rests on the shoulders of Team Shivans (Naked Babies). If I'm not mistaken they have undergone a rigorous practice before their actual matches in Indonesia.

After the intense battles the results has been announced. The winner for RWC 2010 this year goes to Thailand. On the second place we have Japan and Philippines comes third. I'm personally proud with our representatives because they were able to make it on top 3. Even if they didn't get the championship crown, they still have proven that Filipinos can compete internationally.
