Another Upgrading event has been implemented to our servers. There is no theme this time. We just call it the Violet Bunny Band Event. Same concept and event rules apply where adventurers must over upgrade a Violet Bunny Band in exchange with items provided on their list. The Violet Bunny Band Event has the attributes VIT +2, INT +3, STR +1 and over refine bonus. The details of the event are provided on pRO Official forums.
Previous Event:
The Upgrading Event is now a regular event done by the game masters to spice up our Ragnarok Online experience. For each upgrading event there are new set of items added on the exchange list but some prizes remained unchanged. The noticeable changes on their list is the removal of +6 overupgrade. Renewal over upgrade for +7 VBB has been capped from +12 to +10. There is a heavy requirement for upgrading from +10 to +15 gears which starts at +8VBB Renewal over upgrade. Most of the changes I believe are caused by the availability of sure over upgrade using refine deeds. For the stories behind the past upgrading events read my journals below.

Event Proper:
The Violet Bunny Band event brought the biggest change. The trading day became trading week. The trading with the GMs became automated. Automated in the sense that It's like a self service or do it yourself exchange event now.
When I decided to exchange my Violet Bunny Band I stumbled on a Bunny Girl near the Prontera Fountain. She directed me to lower right portion of the Prontera which is the previous location of swordsman guild.
Funny though that when you approach the NPCs with names of our GMs they made emoticons. Some of the GMs were GM Aeon, Vazilos and Anael.
Before you can enter the trading room players are required to have a Rune-Midgard Coin. It is a Hypermart item used to stat enchant armors and used in various events too. So each time you decide to enter the trading room you are required to purchase a rune midgard coin.
Talk to Bunny Girl beside the building for trading. Be sure to wear at least +7 Violet Bunny Band and the rune midgard coin is in your inventory.
Inside the building there are various NPCs for exchanging your items. Their names indicates the items they are capable to exchange back. Be reminded to talk to them and confirm the prizes they give before finalizing your transaction.
As for my exchange I have chosen for over upgrade so I read carefully which over upgrade NPC I will choose. And when I found out the NPC for trading I just selected the options she gave me. At the end of the conversation she got my +7VBB and gave me a Coupon. Once you got a coupon a global message will appear that you have successfully traded a coupon.
The coupon is like a refine deed where in you will be able to instantly refine your item. Unlike the refine deed for the headgear option there is a pre determined list of headgears. The list is the same as those on the prize list on the forums.
To get out of the room talk to Bunny Girl at the door and choose the option to go back to town.
Congratulations! You have successfully traded your items.

I noticed a big overhaul on the bunny band event particularly on the list of prizes received. The items on the list were not that hard to resist anymore since most of the high end gears are being given during CnR and HH. So that leaves us with over upgrades as a wantable prize. Unfortunately even over upgrades has been ruined by the fact that we can safely overupgrade our gears using refine deeds. During the event they disabled the Refine deed NPC but this doesn't remove the fact that it will be more economical to use refine deeds to over upgrade our items than to put a lot of funds and effort in attaining higher upgrades by exchanging bunny bands.
The trading day has been automated where in players will exchange their bunny bands to designated NPCs inside a room. The trading became convenient since from trading day it became trading week. Players will be able to conveniently exchange at anytime during the trading week. However the social part of the trading where in players will be casually interacting with each other while participating the event and the interaction of the GMs and the players has been removed. From a chaotic but fun event turned into a self service or do it your own event.
If some of the GMs stumbled on reading this post here are some of my constructive critism of the event incase they will held another one. We all know that refine deeds are readily available which directly competes with the item prizes. My suggestion would be remove the +7 Bunny Band prices and let the +8 Bunny Band be the lowest prize on the list. Retain the safe over upgrade NPC to let players have an option to use their refine deeds to over upgrade. Based from previous CnR and HH promos +8 and +9 armor refine deeds are only available on 1000php. Bring back the renewal upgrade with the range +9 to +12 but this time it will be using 2pcs of +8 BB. Over upgrading the normal way even using HD ores is still hard. The +12 BB to +15 BB as prizes were not attainable in my opinion unless there are people willing to sacrifice a lot of funds to achieve these items.
