Geffen Quest – Mage Hunter

Overview:
The Philippine Ragnarok Online continuously adding up daily quest for us. The latest release was the Mage Hunter Quest, which is the third installment for the Geffen Daily Quest. All Geffen Daily Quest including this rewards adventurers with Geffen Coins. These Geffen coins can be exchanged with Buff scrolls and special headgears. For the detailed information regarding the quest please visit the Ragnaboards site.

Quest Requirement:

The quest doesn’t really require anything but during the coarse of the quest you will need at least 500z as an entrance fee for the PvP room.

Quest Proper:
At the lower mid part of Geffen City, [Quest] Mage Hunter is waiting for adventurers. He is standing beside Maroll the officer recruiting for Battle grounds. Just like the other daily quest initiators he is constantly using the emotion /! and has the prefix [Quest].

When you talk to him, he angrily tells you about the rebel mages that are causing troubles with the citizens of Geffen. After causing trouble the mages run into the PvP room where they are hard to catch. The [Quest] Mage Hunter then asks your help to catch them and convince them to surrender. They are hiding somewhere in the PvP room Izlude. He also tells you to continue threatening them in order for them to surrender. Upon hearing this proceed to a city with an Inn. Since we are already in Geffen City located the Inn at the upper right part of the city.

Inside the building, find the Gate Keeper and talk to him that you want to enter the PvP rooms. There are 3 room choices namely Nightmare mode, Yoyo mode and Fighting mode. Choose Yoyo mode and prepare 500z as an entry fee.

Warning:
Do not enter the Nightmare mode unless you know what you are doing. Dying inside Nightmare mode will randomly drop one of your equipped gears.

All Gate Keepers from any Inn around Midgard will be warping adventurers to a common place called the PVP Waiting Room. At the waiting room there are a lot of rooms divided into levels. As for the quest proceed to the upper right most part of the map and locate the No Limit Zone. The No Limit zone is a PvP room with no level restriction. Talk to Fight Square Reception with the pub "No Limit" then choose Izlude. Keep in mind also that logging out at any map inside the PvP room will force you to leave the map and spawn at your last save point upon logging in.

When you entered the room, be extra cautious because you are now in a map with PvP mode. This means that you can attack anyone in the room and anyone in the room can also attack you. To avoid unexpected aggressiveness try to conceal behind trees and buildings. If you are a thief class, use your stealth skills like chase walk, tunnel drive or cloak to avoid unnecessary aggression.

The Rebel Mages has 3 locations inside PvP room Izlude. They alternately come out when ever an adventurer is trying to catch them. In order for them to react approach them to trigger the message to pop out. If an adventurer is on the process of convincing the rebel mage other players will no longer trigger the pop out message and will be forced to find the other rebel mages. The rebel mages might not surrender at the first try. Just keep on locating them and convince them to surrender.

The First Rebel Mage is located at the upper right part of the map. He looks like a dwarf with a pointed hat and a light blue shirt. The location is convenient because tall buildings will help you hide from possible aggressive players.

The Second Rebel Mage is located at the lower left part of the map. He looks like a wizard with a pointed hat and brown coat. The location is somewhat exposed but because its far from the center going to this location is easy.

The Last Rebel Mage is located at the center of the map. He appears to be a sage with a brown robe.. The location is very dangerous because most of the pvp players are hanging out at the center. Just be on your guard always to avoid bloodshed. Expect that the danger is high while doing the quest because there are a lot of aggressive players inside PvP Izlude because of this quest. Good luck surviving on your quest.

Just to give a little hint on the quest, the pattern of appearance of the rebel mages cycles from middle to lower left to upper right then back to middle.

After catching a rebel mage, return to [Quest] Mage Hunter and report what happen. Because of your effort to catch the rebel mage, the Mage Hunter will reward you with a Geffen Coin. For premium users, he will be rewarding them with 2 Geffen coins.
