Geffen Quest – Gloria’s Study

Note: Currently removed from the game due to bugs.

Overview:
Philippine Ragnarok Online has been continuously adding up exclusive daily quests for all adventurers. Among these were Alberta Quests and Prontera Quests. The latest expansion was the daily quests in Geffen. What makes the Geffen Daily Quests different is that it offers a little to none experience points but gives a unique Geffen Magic Coins. The Geffen Magic Coins could be exchange for awesome scrolls or headgear. For the official announcement of the said quest kindly visit Ragnaboards.

Quest Requirement:
Level 30+

Quest Proper:
To start the quest locate [Quest] Gloria at the lower right part of Geffen City. Compared to other Daily Quests starting NPCs, she has the prefix name [Quest] and constantly doing the /! emotion. It’s very easy to find her because she is along the way.

Talk to her and she will tell you about the “fun refining machine”. The machine is capable of refining Ordinary Armors without the use of Eluniums. During the conversation, Gloria will hand you over an Ordinary Armor that will be used in upgrading.

To start the upgrading process wear the Ordinary Armor then start using the New Refining Machine beside Gloria. Do note that the Ordinary Armor could only be worn by level 30 and above characters. Talk to the machine and start the refinement process just like the normal upgrading. The safe limit for the refinement using the New Refining Machine is +4, which is the same with the P2P server. The Ordinary Armor will have the chance to explode or destroyed if you attempt to upgrade beyond +4. If by chance the Ordinary Armor was destroyed during the upgrading attempt, talk to Gloria to get another Ordinary Armor. There is no limit on how many times you accept Ordinary Armors from Gloria as long as you don’t have any Ordinary Armor at hand.

While doing the upgrade, random text is continuously appearing on your head. The random text gets annoying when your text box has been flooded with these random texts especially if there are a lot of people gathered around Gloria for the upgrade. In order to avoid flood, create a chat box using Alt + C and then start your upgrade. All the random text will be transferred to the chat box while the flood from other players random texts will also stop.

By the time you made a +5 or higher Ordinary Armor, talk to Gloria to exchange the Armor. The rewards given by Gloria depend on the upgrade level of the armor being exchanged. After the exchange the 20hr cooldown will be triggered.

Quest Rewards:
The rewards for this quest depend on the upgrade level of the ordinary Armor being exchanged. The common reward on this quest is 1 Geffen Magic Coin and Food Buff (LUK). For premium users they receive 2 Geffen Magic Coins for each exchange instead of 1 Geffen Magic Coin. The list of rewards below was based on personal experience and data taken from Ragnaboards via Geffen Quest – Gloria’s Study Thread. Rewards for upgrades +8 and +9 will be updated when I have data. For +10 upgrade, only 1 data is available on the thread above so I just post it here.

Exchange +7 Ordinary Armor to receive

• 1 Geffen Coin
• +7 Food Buff (LUK)
• lvl10 Agility Up
• 3 Light White Potion
• 1~3 Rough Elunium
• 2~3 Rough Oridecon

Exchange +10 Ordinary Armor to receive

• 1 Geffen Coin
• +10 Food Buff (LUK)
• lvl10 Agility Up
• lvl10 Blessing
• 10 Light White Potion

Geffen Quest Rewards:
All Geffen quests give the same reward which is the Geffen Magic Coins. Cindy who intendedly gave away all her Geffen Magic Coins made these coins. So in order to regain all the Geffen Magic Coins she made special scrolls. The special scrolls could only be purchased using the Geffen Magic Coins.

For the rewards, exchange 1 Geffen Magic coin + zeny for 1 Magic Scroll. These magic scrolls lasts for 30mins and it’s effect persist even death. Trade permission for the Magic Scrolls are vend-able, kafra-able and trade-able. Headgear rewards are also available by exchanging 540 Geffen Magic Coins + 2,000,000zeny
