Failed Endless Tower 5-man Team

Endless Tower seems to be one of our favorite leveling spot with my friends. It is one of the most practical dungeon to level up when Renewal hits our server. The unpenalized experience given by MVPs makes this dungeon worth climbing.

Last January 2012 we organized a 5 man party for an aim to level up. During this adventure we have gathered all willing friends regardless of job class for an adventure. For this trip We have the following team composition.
  • Shin Cai an Archbishop - overall support
  • sankaku a Rune Knight - mob control, MVP killer, tank
  • Bao Sanniang a Rune Knight - mob control, MVP killer, tank
  • wanted a Guillotine Cross - mob control
  • Herbie Boy a Sorcerer - support and mob control

We started our adventure at the very base of the dungeon. We have an easy time killing mobs and MVPs like Golden Thief Bug, Mistress, Maya and Phreeoni. We cleared these dungeons easily without so much strategy in place. Its like we just unleash our skills until monsters are down.

Our struggle on MVP killing started with Drake. Eventhough Drake is very slow moving he has the capacity of killing a target. Our team had the strategy of letting the Rune Knights tank while the others are keeping from distance seems to work for a while. When Drake unleashed its Water Ball our tanks goes down easily. None of us had water armor to counter Drake's Water Ball so we had casualties on this room. However we still managed to clear this room.

As we move forward, we have another formidable MVP to face and its Turtle General. We had the same problem with this MVP because he also had Water Ball. Just like in Drake's room we are struggling on this floor. Because of persistence and some sacrifices we were able to clear this room too.

Then we move further up the tower until we reached Incantation Samurai's floor. Upon meeting up with this MVP we have a gread start on tanking him and sending hits. However when he unleashed his most powerful attacks namely the Hell Judgement and Brandish Spear it almost wipes out our team. Somehow we are able to counter his Hell Judgement through the combination of Sanctuary, Warmer and Pnuema but his Brandish Spear is really a pain. We had the hardest time sending damage when the MVP decided to combo his skills and attacks. We were literally struggling to kill him. As we continued engaging the MVP we had a lot of deaths and burned a lot of supplies. At this point we decided to end our trip here. If we had a hard time at this level then we will have a harder time on higher floors.

What makes this trip a failure is the fact that we don't have any reliable MVP killer. We just relied on killing the MVP with minimal damages coming almost from everyone in the team. Killing the MVP at a slower pace makes our team struggle more and ultimately we consumed more supplies. Another factor to point out is the lack of tanker in the team prepared to withstand any attacks from various MVPs on the tower.

Lessons learned on this trip is to have a reliable MVP killer and a sturdy tank. But hey, a team that was organized at a spur of the moment is fun especially with all the handicap we have. We were able to pull off on the spot strategies.

Sa New Chaos, kinakatakutan mga GX, lalo na pag tama lahat ng equips. Yung dressed for the kill, ika nga. hehehe. :D
