Upgrading event has been implemented to our servers again. The theme for this event is Bunnies will be invading Christmas with the Blue Bunny Band Event! So there you go we have the Blue Bunny Band Event as a year end event. Same concept and event rules apply where adventurers must over upgrade a Blue Bunny Band in exchange with items provided on their list. The Blue Bunny Band Event has the attributes VIT +2, INT +1, STR +3, over refine bonus. The details of the event are provided on pRO Official site.

Previous Event:
The Upgrading Event is now a regular event done by the game masters to spice up our Ragnarok Online experience. For each upgrading event there are new set of items added on the exchange list but some prizes remained unchanged. The noticeable addition on their list is the addition of RWC Indonesia Cap and over upgrade for any headgear. They also introduced new MVP cards like Turtle General card, Ifrit card, Beelzebub card and High Wizard card. For the stories behind the past upgrading events read my journals below.

Event Proper:
The announcement of the event happened last December 7, 2011. They started selling Blue Bunny Band at this point too however the prize list was not posted immediately. It took them few more days to post the prize list. The trading proper happened more than a month after the announcement of the event.

Last January 15, 2012, It's Valkyrie server's turn for the trading and everybody was excited. Just like the previous events there are few players who pushed their luck by lining up on familiar trading places. I visited Lighthalzen and there are people who actually lined up even before the announcement of the trading city. I decided not to gamble my slot this time because from the previous events our GMs usually choose the city where no people are lining up. Its a nice decision for them to give fair grounds to all players.

Before the trading time strikes, the GMs finally announced that the trading place will be in Dewata. People rushed to Alberta then used a boat ride going to Dewata city. GM Anael marks the start of the line in Dewata City and everyone must line up from there. I was able to secure no 31 this time thanks to my super speed Cart Boost!

When the time strikes 1pm the GMs started summoning the players one by one. The trading room is still the same room used from the previous event. It's a large room with an interior similar with that of Prontera. Once you re-logged you will re-spawn to your last saved point.

There are 5 GMs where you can lined up so you can choose from any of them. This speeds up the process of trading the items and they will be able to cater all players trading. As for me I have chosen GM Vazilos because he has the coolest gears. I love his Angelic Wings and Choco Donut in mouth! Kidding aside he has the shortest line that time.

After my successfully trade, I noticed that there are two side portals that was not present from previous events. Curiosity pushed me to enter the room and boom a lot of thorns greeted me with a smile. Oh well curiosity surely kills.

I spawned then went back to Dewata to check the line. It was chaotic. The line has a lot of corners, crossing and dead lines. What makes things worst is that people are stubborn enough to claim that their line is legitimate. They don't want to disperse and continue on the true line. The GMs then intervene and forced these dead lines to be cued on the last number of the legitimate line.

The line was cut from #316 and the GMs made another announcement that the trading place will be relocated to Veins. So numbers #317 and up will be summoned from Veins. The players who are not lined up yet rushed from Dewata to Veins. It was an unexpected decision from the GMs to relocate the trading place in the middle of the event.

Some players were still persistent on lining up on the last line in Dewata. Some players were also confused with the sudden turn of events. But in all fairness with the GM team they continuously made global announcement in-game with regards to the new trading city. Since I'm done with my trading, I checked out Veins to see what was happening there. The last number that I was able to get on the Veins line was #454.

Time passed and I rested a bit. I logged in the game an hour before the trading time ends. I was surprise that the GMs are continuing what they have started on the previous events to wait until the trading time ends as indicated on their event promo. I was able to catch GM Vretiel assisting the last minute traders. Its a surprise that still there are a lot of people who choose not to go with the bulk of traders during the first few hours.

Until the last minutes of the trading time GM Anael sits quietly in Veins waiting for traders. He's the mark that the event is still on going.

The Blue Bunny Band Upgrading Event is one of the most organized trading event. Most of their mistakes in the previous events were improved here. However the changing of Trading location at the middle of the event set a little confusion to some traders so I think the GMs should consider a bigger map like Juno that could cater longer lines to avoid changing of trading map. Maybe if the GM team has more man power they can also consider two cities where in one GM on each location will be summoning the traders. Good Job to our GMs for having a fantastic event like this.

cool headgear, i thought this was the next week's over upgrading event..

If I were to upgrade it up to maybe +8.. Would normal elu's advisable?

This is the upgrading event for Valkyrie last january and I posted it super late. I think you are refering to an upgrading event in another server.

If you're playing in a F2P setting, yes it is advisable. Bear in mind that in F2P server there are no safe limits. Use enriched elu to ensure safe upgrade. Beyond safe upgrade enriched elu and normal elu will have the same chance of overupgrading a gear.

that means in F2P, items can break at +1? How do i get enriched upgrading items? How much does it cost at hypermarts?

Herbert said...

Yes even at +1 it has a chance to break.
They can be purchased via Hypermart. E.elu costs 100 ROK while E.ori costs 50 ROK. you can also purchase E.elu from other players.
