Ragnarok Zero

Gravity is planning to release a new game called Ragnarok Zero as a response to players who miss the old days of Ragnarok Online. I got the news from the Inven website but I needed google translate to somehow extract information on the said article. See source for the complete article.

From the translated info I got the following information:
  • core of Ragnarok Zero is memories, improvements and evolution
  • will cater on the early period of Ragnarok Online
  • will have 60 level cap
  • only first jobs are available
  • hunting, play style, battle mechanics and balance is reorganized
  • in the future it will be the same as the current Ragnarok Online
  • returning players has a hard time adapting to the game so there will be progression quests by level
  • actively communicate to the community for feedback on Ragnarok Zero
  • official launched will be in November after the User test

Comments:
From what I see on the available info is that Ragnarok Zero is the response of kRO for the growing interest of returning players to play Ragnarok Online again but cannot keep up with the info overload. Maybe they want to take action to the growing popularity of the Classic-Revo set-up where in players are taken back to the beginning of the game but using the renewal settings. This time they want a more controlled environment with a slow progression which eventually will be the same as the current Ragnarok Online set-up. I believe this game will be very slow as compared to a classic revo server but we will see if there will be a differentiating factor to the current Ragnarok Online.
