Endless Tower - Five Man Team with Friends

Overview:
Renewal gave spice to Ragnarok Online with the dawn of 3rd job classes and new game mechanics. However they have provided limited maps to level up third job characters. The most efficient map for power leveling at the moment is on Endless Tower because of the bulk experience provided by MVP monsters. My friends and I follow the trend by organizing a five man team to enter this dungeon.

Previous Adventures:
If you're interested with our Endless Tower adventures you may view them on the Adventure's Page. It contains my pre-renewal journal on how we progressively reach the top floor. It also contains my renewal journals but more on power leveling.

The Cast:
Our party composition for the run consists of key characters only. Our aim is not to reach the top floor but more on power leveling until we reach the MVP who will defeat our team. There are two first time adventurers on our party so we are a bit extra careful with our strategies to be more loose rather than hardcore. Our team composition is as follows.

  • ^Psyche^ a Sura - Tanker
  • Jaina Drei a Wanderer - Mob control
  • Rich Kid Herbert a Genetic - MVP killer and mob control
  • Blur a Warlock - MVP killer and mob control
  • angel_sweet16 an Archbishop - Support

Adventure Highlights:
Since two of our party mates were first timers, I don't expect so much from them in terms of performance. I believe that each floor would be a surprise for them. At most they will be doing their usual PVM killing on the monsters and might panic when they got mobbed at some point.

Lower Floors:
We started from the very first floor because we want our first time friends to experience everything on Endless Tower. The lower floors will be very easy for us considering that we are third jobs against low level monsters. So it's just like me bombarding the lower MVPs with Acid Bomb and nothing more.

Giving out tips:
At some point during the adventure. We are randomly giving out tips to our friends on how to handle each MVPs effectively. Sometimes we are also requesting for specific spells to be casted and explain why we want that spell to be casted. People tends to give in into requests when they understand why they are ask to do these things. Strategies do come from tested theories and experience.

Giving some tips and strategy

Dark Snake Lord floor:
The Dark Snake Lord floor has always been a challenge for our team. We burn longer time here because most of our high damaging skills will not be working with the MVP. His ghost property makes him immune to neutral damages so we don't have much choice but to let our Warlock do the MVP killing job.

Baphomet and Dark Lord floor:
The room is considered to have a moderate difficulty as long as you battle the MVPs separately. Unfortunately our team faced Baphomet and Dark Lord at the same time. The difficulty had increased by a lot because of the MVPs combined force. Both MVPs are formidable and are capable of doing massive area damages and inflicts area status ailments. Our tank had difficulty in sustaining his health while tanking these bosses so when she goes down the MVPs went loose and reached our range attackers. The next thing we know we were slaughtered one after the other.

We tried many times to recover by regrouping but Each time we were about to move into formation the MVP runs angrily and whacked our resurrected members. We don't have much choice but to perform the desperate tactics. Our desperate tactics is classic because we have done this a lot of times during pre-renewal. The strategy is to resurrect then throw as many Acid Bomb as possible until the MVP lets me kiss the floor me again. Repeat the resurrect and damage technique over and over. I know its very costly but this is the only strategy left for us thats why we call it desperate tactics. In the end we managed to kill both MVPs with that tactics. Judging by our performance we will have more difficulty on higher MVP floors so we decided not to move on further. I guess that would be enough experience for our newbie friends. Welcome to endless tower!

We survived the floor thanks to our Token of Zigfried supply. We felt that continuing on higher floors will not be successful so we stop on that floor. =)

Nobody appreciates Warlocks on ET parties anymore T.T so hard to find parties. Some ignoramus told me WLs can only do jupi on ET grr. Looking forward to more trip reports from you. No chance on revealing your "magic" strategy for Ifrit ang Randgris yet?

Thanks for reading my adventures. Most visitors are after the guides and not really interested in my adventure posts. The "magic" is not that great in renewal but you can still use it. Just look closely on the screenshots of Ifrit and Rangis you'll find out about the "magic". =)
