War of Emperium Staple Cards

Overview:
War of Emperium is a guild versus guild feature. It is one of the end game content of Ragnarok Online where in players must prepare a proper build and gears. Specialized build is a must in this feature if you want to survive and help your guild acquire an Agit. As a guild member gears must also align on survival and fit into the role you want to achieve.

The article will tackle on War of Emperium Staple cards which you can invest early. The cards shown are easy to farm non-boss cards which any player can hunt or purchase from other players. It will only cover the cards on the early episodes. Even if there are future patches they will still have a significant role.

Headgear:
The headgear card is not a sought after item because there are a tons of headgear options available in the market with better effects. Most people prefer a headgear with a 10% reduction from demi-human like Poopoo Hat. But if you prefer a slotted gear you can invest on Marduk Card. The immunity to silence is very beneficial. Although greenn pots can cure silence, this card can serve you in crucial moments especially if you are build for skill spamming.

Armor:
Definitely Marc card dominates the armor slot because it grants Frozen immunity. It is very much staple even in future patches. Another equally good option is Evil Druid card which turns your element to Undead. It grants you immunity to both Frozen and Stone status but you cannot be healed through Holy property skills like Heal and Sanctuary. Being frozen in the war means you can't attack, use skills and even use potions. Also when frozen with low hp, you are vulnerable to one shot burst attack. Frozen status in the war is prevalent because of Storm Gust from Wizards and in the future patches Frost Joke from Bards. Alternative cards would be HP cards like Pupa card or Pecopeco card. Some also invest on status inflicting armors to prevent hit lock like Pest card. Not so popular option is also using Dokebi Card to reduce damage from Storm Gust and Jupitel Thunder.

Shield:
No doubt Thara Frog Card is the staple card on shields so this is a future proof investment for war oriented players. The 30% reduction to demi-human attacks is a lot of damage reduced. Add the 10% reduction demi-human headgear and you have 40% reduction from players. There will be alternative cards like Horn card, Hodremlin card and Ogretooth card but nothing beats Thara Frog Card.

Weapon:
The weapon cards is a bit tricky since most of the time cards for the weapon is based on specific builds. Staple card for damage oriented builds is Hydra card. But be reminded that damage computation is renewal so insert your Hydra card on a high attack weapon to get a higher damage output. There are status inflicting card options too like Metaller card, Savage bebe card and Magnolia card. Insert these cards on a four slotted weapon then use an area of effect skill like Arrow Shower or Magnum Break to spread status ailments. It is advisable to use 4 of the same status for better result on status spreading. If you ask why these 3 cards? Because silence or stun or curse can be re-inflicted on target players. Choosing frozen status or sleep status will not be that helpful since each time you use your AoE skill the frozen or sleep status is removed. Support options can use Fabre card for the additional HP.

Shoes:
By tradition, shoes are often used for increased HP or SP. Classic trio card options for the slot are Matyr Card, Verit Card and Sohee Card. Though overall preferred card is the Matyr card because it increases your HP pool thus surviving a lot more damage. Sohee Card on the other hand increases your SP pool and a little bit of increased SP recovery for skill spamming options. Verit Card is giving the best of both worlds since it increases the HP and Sp though at a lower rate compared to the other two. Ancient Firelock card is superior to all the three cards but it is hard to meet its' condition thus this is a rich man option. There will be  better cards available in the future like Green Ferus card and Gold Acidus card but these three cards can still be a good alternative.

Garment:
The garment slot has always been a traditional slot for reduction thus Raydric card is the staple card for this slot. The additional reduction to neutral attack by 20% helps in survival a little more though elemental weapons can easily bypass this card. Lesser option like Orc baby card, Harpy card, Noxious card and Giant Whisper card can replace Raydric card.

Accessory:
Just like the weapon slot, accessory cards are tricky too since it will always depend on your build or role. Several options are available like additional stats, reduction, and temporary skills. What I'm going to provide you are the cards that will generally help during the war. Spore card adds VIT which in turn increases your HP and over all survival. Smokie card provides Hide skill which can be used to avoid damage or simply give impression to that you died though this can only trick players with effects off. Lastly Horong Card provides Sight skill that is crucial on scouting and clearing the Emperium for possible stealth enemies.

Hope the article help you prepare for the War of the Emperium. Cheers!

If you are choosing a knight exclusive armor Full Plate armor is still the best but if you want to share the gear to your other class Formal Suit is the best followed by Coat.
