Tiffany's Treasure Event

Overview:
Tiffany encourages adventurers on a treasure hunt to unlock treasure chest that contains surprise items. You'll never know if you'll get a rare headgear or turn in a taming for a limited edition pet.

Event Duration:
[Season 1] July 16, 2020 to July 30, 2020 extended until August 13, 2020

• Recent maintenance update increased the number of Rudo on the maps
• Bumped up the drop rate of both Treasure Kard and Treasure Key
• It is still frustrating to find the Rudo consistently
• Hunting map are all selected field maps

[Season 2] October 8, 2020 to November 5, 2020

• Increased Rudo spawn to 5 ~ 7
• Hunting map are all selected dungeon maps

[Season 3] January 28, 2021 to February 25, 2021

• Rudo spawn still at 5 ~ 7
• Hunting map are selected field and dungeon maps
• Added Dead Branch and Gift box for the random Treasure Key exchange

Event Proper:
An event monster called Rudo spawns on the fields or dungeons depending on the event maps selected. She looks like a fairy holding a roll of tissue paper that aggressively attacks adventurers.

There are approximately 5 to 7 instant spawn Rudo for each map depending on the size of the map. For my hunting adventure I have chosen the smallest map in Prontera Field.

From my hunting experience even if the map is small it is really hard to locate the spawns. What is more frustrating is when you killed the monster it does not drop the essential items needed for the event. I always have a bubble gum on when hunting and was lucky enough to get the Treasure Kard and Treasure Key

The treasure key is used to open Tiffany's Treasure Box located on the first floor of Eden Group at the cost of 50,000z per key. Once you use the key you will be given 1 of the following items:

Treasure Kard
The Treasure Kard is used to exchange items or service to Tiffany in Pirate outfit. The list of exchange are listed below

• 10 Kard = 1 Tantan Noodle (Green Maiden Taming)
• 10 Kard = 1 Holy Marble (Ground Deleter Taming)
• 20 Kard = 10 Chocolate Drink
• 40 Kard = 1 Old Blue Box
• 100 Kard = 5 Old Purple Box
• 250 Kard = 1 Old Card Album

• 20 Kard = 30minutes of 150 Increase EXP
• 50 Kard = 15minutes of 200 Increase EXP
• 50 Kard = 300,000 base EXP/150,000 job EXP
• 25 Kard = 30minutes Endow Quake
• 25 Kard = 30minutes Endow Tornado
• 25 Kard = 30minutes Endow Tsunami
• 25 Kard = 30minutes Endow Blaze
• 200 Kard = Refine Weapon to +8 (limit of 1 per day)
• 200 Kard = Refine Armor to +8 (limit of 1 per day)
• 200 Kard = Refine Weapon to +9 (limit of 1 per day)
• 200 Kard = Refine Armor to +9 (limit of 1 per day)

Note: Refine services has 10% success rate and if fail the level of the equipment will not decrease but on the site it does not indicate if it will break

Comments:
I personally do not have complains on the spawn and hunting the Rudo. However my complain is on the Kard and Key's very low drop rate which is very frustrating when hunting. I'm not sure if the event is designed to defer bots but at the same time punish manual players from hunting.

The gambling part when getting items from the Key is not a problem but the additional cost of 50,000z per exchange screams zeny drain. If you have the zeny for gambling then you can try this event. There are a lot of good items on the list but you might need to burn a million before you can get the item that you want.

The Kard exchange on the other hand is the better part of the event since it will give you a sure item or service in exchange of your effort. The new taming items are good addition on the exchange. The best part of the exchange is the chance refinement to +8 or +9. Though the chances are low, it provides an alternative safe upgrade to +8 and +9 without the need to buy Blacksmith Blessing.

Overall, the event is nice but you can choose to skip it if you don't have any target item on the exchange list.
