Glast Heim Castle Exploration

Overview:
Glast Heim is the most complex map available to us at the moment. It has a lot leveling maps and farm areas. We wanted to explore the map if it will be worth it for the experience gain. We are targeting Glast Heim Castle since most of the high level monsters are in that map.

Location:
Glast Heim is an abandoned city of Midgard. In the past it is the capital of Rune Midgard but was devastated. It is located at the far right of Geffen. Adventurers can walk from Geffen by exiting to the left, then top, then left, finally another left. Or you can access the map from an Acolyte class with a memo of the map. The Glast Heim Castle is the portal at the center. Once inside, the portal at the center is the access to the castle.

Cast:
I had invited friends to join us on this adventure however only two of them are available. We still push through with the adventure because we are confident that we can survive the map. We have Chazrelle as our support a.k.a. keeping us alive. Then we have Synonym as our mob control and killer. My role for this adventure is to serve as tank and to break frozen monsters. I have access to Auto-Guard and Shield Reflect which will be helpful on our mobbing.

The Adventure:
We came prepared for this adventure because our warp is ready from our meeting place. We save a lot of time by a direct warp to Glast Heim. We engaged immediately with the mobs in the area because it has a high density of monsters too.

We didn't require any specific item on this map because of the diverse properties. However we still lean on protecting ourselves from the demi-human monsters like Raydrics and Abysmal Knight so we brought Thara carded shield. To be sure, I have also equipped a Pasana Carded armor to protect myself from the Raydric's Magnum Break. Most of the time my Auto-Guard and Chazrelle's Kyrie Eleison helps in our survival.

Synonym on the other hand has a Phen accessory for the continuous cast of Storm Gust. This is important for our Wizard because if he cannot release the damage and frozen effect from the Storm Gust we will be eating more damage than we should have. Raydric Archers are prominent on the map which tends to snipe and disrupts our long casting spells.

As we walk on the map, we were not expecting to bump into Gryphon. At first, we are adamant to engaged the monster because it's the mini boss of the map but we did it anyway. The monster looks intimidating and can hit hard. We are surprised that he's not that strong. I guess we over estimated it based on the looks. This is a similar experience of being a novice hitting on a Creamy story.

We explored other areas of the map and most of them have clustered monsters. We handled them well and somehow we are keeping each other alive. On every mob, the Wanderer proves to be the most annoying monster of the map. What makes it worst from the rest is that he has the Snatch skill where he force teleport one of our members randomly in the map. At this point we need to teleport too and regroup at a common point. I'm not so sure but I have observed that when the skill Snatch miss through Auto-Guard or Kyrie Eleison the force teleport does not happen.

As we go through the map, we finally met the icon and rare spawn of the map which is the Abysmal Knight. It's really huge monster but we are handling it so well. We are not surprised though since we are fully geared against him. We are not expecting any good drops from the encounter but we are hoping it would be a card.

What we are not expecting from our adventure is to encounter one of the Sword monsters, Mysteltainn. In my mind, the sword can wreck lives but we still tried to engage it. It may give us fortune since it can drop Biotite which is an ingredient for creating rare weapons. However, the monster proves to be hard to kill. I tried to kill it with physical damage but I miss a lot. Magic on the other hand does little damage. We cannot do anything so we left it alone in peace.

We spend more than an hour on this adventure and we had a lot of new encounter. The bonus part is that we gained a significant amount of experience without noticing. Adventures really is the best way to gain experience while having fun. Until the next adventure ~
