Aside from doing war with a competitive guild, my pRO Valkyrie Friends are also fond of doing fun sieges. Fun sieges means that we will try our best to break an Emperium and defend it but not specifically aim to take on big guilds. It's ok if we don't have an agit but it would be better if we secure one at the end of the war.
Most of our members are busy with real life stuff so we tried to schedule a common war of emperium day that will accommodate most of our friends. Once we have decided the day, we used one of our guilds named Shield Bath Soup. The guild has the Official Guild Approval skill which means we can now break emperiums.
During the first hour of the sieges, we didn't participate on the war. We use this time for our personal preparation, communicating with members that are not yet online and waiting for other members show up. Some of us used this time to scout on possible Kafra save point and relay to the party on the status of different locations. Unfortunately ROPH Loki is really crowded that all possible Kafra save points were occupied. We decided to just save in Ayothaya since once of us has a warp on the map.
When the second hour came, we scout for possible target agit. We aim for agits which are historically hot agits. We started our conquest at Britoniah castles. As expected the entrance map until the third maps were walk in the park. By the time we entered the emperium we were bombarded with a heavy defense.
I was able to get through the defenses of the defending guild using pots power. However I felt like I'm wasting supplies since the defense is really tight and even if I survive until the emperium there will be an azura strike waiting for me. This proves that VIT type characters really shines on surviving the war of emperium. Each potion I used has large potency because of the VIT multiplier and HP recovery skill. We assaulted different Britoniah castles but we were unable to budge the defenses.
Britoniah agits didn't work for us and our expected hot agits were heavily defended. Our guild then decided to try out Greenwood Lake since this is the map with a lot of hot agits. Indeed our prediction is right, we were able to sneak into a hot agit. Unfortunately hot agits were being raced by established guilds so the ambiance is more chaotic even at the entrance. I felt bad that hot agits tend to separate our party which causes us to be more individualistic rather than organized. We managed to sneak into the Emperium room and did a lot of hits. But we run out of supplies and died eventually.
Few seconds after our death a new guild has conquered the agit so most of waiting players outside the agit rushed into the castle again. We tried to do the same technique of rushing into the emperium, sneak in some damage then pray for a lucky last hit. Our efforts were futile since bigger guilds are now joining the war. The last minutes of the war of emperium proves to be the hardest battle since everyone are now trying to secure their own agits. At the end of the war we didn't even break a single emperium. But that's ok since we were able to at least have bulk of our friends join the siege. Til the next war ~
