Ragnarok Zero

Gravity is planning to release a new game called Ragnarok Zero as a response to players who miss the old days of Ragnarok Online. I got the news from the Inven website but I needed google translate to somehow extract information on the said article. See source for the complete article.

Flashback:
It's been more than 2 years since Ragnarok Online shut down in the Philippines. Most of our accounts were migrated to iRO with most of our gears wiped out. Why did they wiped it out? Because pRO has been saturated with high end gears such us high upgraded gears, Boss Cards and Godly Items. Taking away these items will somehow balance out the playing grounds when people migrates to iRO.

I quit the game after I have attempted to play in iRO. It takes a lot of time and effort just to organize my things. Our Kafra in Valkyrie was set as a second storage when it transferred to iRO which will be locked when the premium expires. Transferring all my things to the main storage on 3 migrated accounts is hard. It's like I will a lot a big part of my life just to set-up things so I got lazy. Most of my friends did not intended to play on the server too so I quit the game. I literally cut myself off to any Ragnarok related stuff even my blog.

I was hopeful for Tree of Savior to rekindle the adventure feeling that I had but the game for me is only exciting on job tree and skill building. For most parts I feel like it is a chore to play the game because I only log-in to do the dungeon and mission. Socializing in-game is almost non-existent. FPS dropping when a lot of skills is being uses is also an issue for me.

News: Tao Gunka Card on Hypermart

pRO management made a surprising move during their "mapapa-OMG ka (/omg)" event. Tao Gunka Card has been sold in Hypermart on all servers of pRO last June 30, 2011!

News: Midgard Congress 2011

The Philippine Ragnarok Online is organizing another gathering for all guildmasters in all servers. The aim of this gathering is to discuss the Ragnarok online 2011 plans and the upcoming tournament for RWC 2011.

The discussion from what I've heard before is that they will be deciding on what kind of Agit Lords will be implemented for the year. So basically they will be deciding on Agit Lord mechanics. Future updates and patches for pRO will also be revealed here but if I'm not mistaken the exact date of implementation will not be revealed. At the end of the meeting there will be a Q&A portion. I just hope the guild masters who will be attending the congress will be pro active enough to ask questions regarding the current problems of our servers. I hope the empty bottle problem for F2P servers will be included. lol!

News: My Level Up!

Just heads up for those who are not aware. My Level Up will be undergoing a maintenance on January 31, 2011. It will be upgraded into a newer, better and faster myLU! according to them.

For your information, you will NOT be able to access your myLU account if you can't validate your email address starting January 31, 2011. For your action, see to it that you can access the registered email address that you have indicated on your myLU account. The email validation will be sent on that email address.

News: Ragnaboards bids Farewell

For so many years Ragnaboards has been the official forums for Philippine Ragnarok Online Players where we discuss everything about Ragnarok. Last December 6, 2010 the Ragnaboards forums has officially bid farewell. Lots of memories, information and rants has been lost but it will remain in our minds and hearts.

Whenever you enter the Ragnaboards link it will now be re-directed to the Unified Forums at the Level Up! Games domain. The unified forums is a forum which covers all Level Up's published games. They aim to let players from various games interact with gamers other than players in their respective games. Compared to Ragnaboards, the Unified forums is strict in terms of implementing board rules like signatures and posting threads. Adapting to the new forums is hard on the first time but eventually we will get used to it.

What I like About the new forums is the permanent Edit Button in which you can edit your post anytime you want. What I didn't like on the boards is the lay out design and strict rule for signatures. >_<

As they say change is the only thing permanent in this world so we have to get use to it. Sign up now and join in the discussions and let your voice be heard in the new forums.

News: Renewal in pRO Sakray

Renewal has finally came to pRO! Sakray server will be the first to enjoy the changes brought by Renewal. GM Aeon had already announced the implementation of Renewal at Ragnaboards. For the detailed announcement read the statement of GM Aeon after the jump.

News: Temporary Blocking of pRO International Access

A big news has came to pRO. All international players have been temporarily blocked from accessing the Ragnarok Servers of pRO in preparation for the upcoming Renewal Patch. It's not a secret that most international players were OFWs who keeps in touch with their family and friends through the game. It's really sad to know that were blocked with no definite period of time. Read the announcement after the jump.
