CBT Tactics

Overview:
Closed Beta Testing (CBT) for the new Philippine Ragnarok Online will begin this June 20, 2017 (Tuesday). Most players are very much excited to begin their adventures again in Rune Midgard. However be minded that after CBT, everything will be wiped. The aim of CBT is to test connections, latency, server load and identify bugs.

Goal:
Since we know that all our efforts will be wiped after CBT,  there is no real goal to play during the period aside from damage testing. Most of us are veterans to the game so more or less we already have an idea on the mechanics of the game and  where to find the best leveling spots. The good news is pRO has given us a reason to level-up a character during CBT through their Prontera's Chivalry Level Challenge.

If you have read the mechanics on the link I provided, I believe that the best goal to hit is at least level 65. At level 65 you will receive the item Random Jewelry Box which has the chance to give you a slotted accessory. Slotted accessories are very hard to obtain considering that we are starting from scratch. If I remember correctly the easy to obtain slotted accessory is the slotted belt but the downside is it packs up a lot of weight. All the rewards can be redeemed during OBT.


How to do it:

• Choose Archer as starting class

Archer classes are known for their range attacks. Most of the time they can snipe or kite monsters with higher level thus giving them more experience. More experience means faster leveling up. Do note that there will be no level penalty implemented as mentioned during one of the guild conferences. Lastly during the previous race to 99 events hunters are always first to reach 99 followed by other classes.

• Grind during the Long Weekend

Good for you if you have plenty of time during the CBT since you can grind anytime. For students and workers it will be hard to find time due to priorities. However don't despair since we have a long weekend coming ahead. We have plenty of time during saturday, sunday and monday just in time to end CBT.

• Play Unexpected Emperium

The Unexpected Emperium is a web based pre-launched game being promoted by pRO. Once you have played this game at least once you will receive 30000 RP which can be used to purchase in-game items via Hypermart. The amount of free points is more than enough to buy hypermart supplies and to purchase helpful gears like the Snake Hat. Spend as much as you can in the hypermart since this will also be wiped out after CBT.

• Spend your time leveling

Remember always to spend your time leveling since time is gold during CBT. The goal is to reach at least level 65 within 7 days. Socializing, market, exploration, creating new character and pvp can wait until you reach this level. But if you are a hardcore player then aim for level 85 instead to get all the freebie rewards.
