How to Start New Character

Overview:

Ragnarok Online MSP has overhauled the training ground quest. Creating a new character now is more streamlined and direct though the amount of time spend would still be relatively the same. The basics of the game like navigation, interface, common NPCs, gears, how to battle and a lot more are still intact.

Old Training Ground Reference:

After creating a new character and entered the game, The spawn point of the Novice Character has not changed. The moment you enter the Training Ground castle and talk to the entrance NPC has not changed. However the entrance NPC now warps you to the training grounds with monsters.

Brade Quest:

Talk to Brade and receive the first quest to kill a Poring. 

Brade will also assist you by giving a free hp heal, sp heal, Blessing and Increase Agi every time you talk to him.

Once you kill a poring and talk to Brade again, he will give you experience and Novice Potions

Renovation Quest:

New NPCs was placed at the training grounds representing the different first job classes available. Each NPC provides a monster hunting quest that needs to be completed.

Swordsman:

Quest: Defeat 5 Poring

Acolyte:

Quest: Defeat 5 Fabre

Thief:

Quest: Defeat 5 Picky

Merchant:

Quest: Defeat 5 Savage

Archer:

Quest: Defeat 5 Baby Desert Wolf

Magician

Quest: Defeat 5 Lunatic

ExpandedMaster

Quest: Defeat 5 Drops

There are 7 quest to complete so you should have 7 quest appearing on your quest list via Alt + U

Start killing monsters on the grounds until you have completed all the quests. If you have the quest information enabled, the kill count will be displayed on your screen which makes monitoring easier.

Once quest is completed, talk to the Job NPCs and receive 1 ticket Newbie Ticket from each NPC. There should be a total of 7 Newbie Tickets

At this point, be sure that your character has completed the job level and allocated all to Basic Skill. Talk to any Job NPC to be warped at Eden.

Warning: A basic Math Quiz will asked and you need to provide an answer. If you answer wrong 3x, you will no longer leave the Training Ground

At Eden, all the available first job NPC are lined up including the expanded class and super novice. Talk to any of them to INSTANTLY change to the first job you want.

Congratulations! you are now a 1st job

Rewards:

Job Exclusive Weapon:

The exclusive weapons are categorized by either rookie or novice wherein the rookie weapon is a temporary weapon that lasts for 7 days while the novice weapon is permanent. Rookie weapons is far more powerful than their counterpart NPC weapons. Novice weapons is almost the same as NPC weapons.

First things to do:

Get First Aid Skill

Talk to Novice Teacher and instantly learn First Aid Skill

Get Platinum Skills from VIP NPC

Talk to VIP Employee and select option Learn 1st Platinum Skill. Get ALL skill so you it can aid you on your leveling needs.

Get Mercenary Service from VIP NPC

The mercenary will somehow help you a bit on leveling at low level maps

Reset Stat at level 30

A free reset stat is offered to level 30 so reset early to remove unwanted stat points.

Receive free Base EXP and JOB EXp from VIP NPC

Only perform this to end your day since it is a chunk of experience that is better to receive when you reach a higher level

Comment:

The streamlined quest and the starter pack is a welcoming gesture to new players and veteran players starting a new account. The 3 DAY VIP is surely a great boost since opened a lot of options for new players

The Costume Frog Cap is the best item given since players can use it even at higher leveling due to the added increase experience.
