Buwaya Cave is one of the three instance dungeon introduced during the Port
Malaya patch. The dungeon will challenge your team to be strong individually
and manage to carry out task even under heavy status ailments. Buwaya drops
ingredients which can be used to create a Buwaya Tattoo. The dungeon has 7
days cool down in order to re-enter which is part of ROMSP renovation.

The Adventure:
We have a direct warp to the dungeon so we proceed at the Malaya Field. I
triggered the instance creation by talking to the Guard outside the cave.
Phase 1:
At the start of the instance we carefully walked towards the watery part
of the dungeon trying to locate Buwaya. The dungeon is full of annoying
but harmless Seaweeds. They constantly cast decrease agi which prevents us
from maneuvering quickly. If we try to damage them they also heal
themselves. Added to the chaos are the spawns of Buwaya's Slaves that can
possibly mob the party
The task of the team is to locate Buwaya and kill him. However there are
lots of fake Buwaya which will confuse the party.
*Loop
From what I observed when one of the members is being attacked by a fake
buwaya, members near the fake buwaya will be placed on Buwaya's Treasure
Box. In reality Buwaya's Treasure Box is just a small room where all the
members are trapped. This will trigger Phase 2. Not everyone in the party will be trapped on the room.
So how do you know if it's the real Buwaya? Well The real Buwaya hits hard
and constantly casts Area of Effect spells like Lord of Vermillion. It
will be very frustrating to find the real Buwaya so the technique is to
hit hard when you see the MVP. Or better yet, isolate the real Buwaya from the rest of the Buwaya.
Phase 2:
This phase will kick in when the team has been placed inside Buwaya's
Treasure Box. The team will be inflicted with Poison status regardless of
status immunity and resistance.
The room is small and it's mechanics can be confusing for first timers.
The first thing you need to do is to talk to the Kidnapped Resident that
looks like an Old Lady. Tell her that you must Get out.
After you talked to her there will be two Buwaya's Weakness that will
spawn at the top portion of the room. One will be on the left side and the
other will be on the right side. It will be hard to spot them since they
have a sprite of an Anopheles. The technique is to mouse over the area
until your mouse pointer becomes attack mode. They are like plant type
which only receives 1 damage per hit and with an approximate 20 health. Attack speed based characters will greatly help the team get out of the room easily.
As you have noticed there is an Old man beside the Old lady. The old man
has nothing to do with the main task of the instance but he serves as a
support. He'll grant you an ATK and MATK buff when you talk to him.
When you got out of the dungeon. Try to get as much damage as you could to
Buwaya until he's finally dead. Once defeated, you have cleared the
dungeon.
Comments:
The instance dungeon is a straight through but annoying in terms of
mechanics. Being constantly separated from the party is very hard
especially to non attacker members. Isolating the MVP Buwaya is the key to
a successful run while damaging it with brute force. If it cannot be done, get out of the room as soon as possible and then use brute force to damage the MVP Buwaya.
Its just unfortunate that I spend most of my time constantly being trapped
at the Buwaya's Treasure Box while the rest of the party are engaging the
MVP at the corner of the dungeon.
