The Adventure:
The renovated Malaya Hospital proves to be a good spot for leveling but a nightmare for adventurers who wants to walk towards the instance dungeon in peace. Our party used giant fly wing to transport the whole team towards Nurse Maenne. Immediately I created the instance while our High Wizard is constantly freezing incoming monsters.
Everyone entered there instance dungeon as soon as it was open for us. There are a lot of second time adventurers on the team so the mechanics are familiar to them. The dungeon mechanics is different from the previously released instance dungeons.
This instance dungeon uses phases where in if you fail at a certain phase you will go back to a previous phase. It's like you will be performing a task and if you fail you will end up in loop. In order to get off the loop the team must finish a task or else they will be caught up in the loop and perform the task over and over and over again. It sounds confusing though but once you enter the dungeon you'll understand the mechanics.
Phase 1: Kill Monsters Tormenting Patients
When our team entered the instance dungeon, we immediately perform the task for this phase. Basically we just killed all the Bangungot's Mangkukulam that spawns randomly on the first room. At this point you must be patient in waiting for the spawns to come out. We have a lot of damage dealer on the party so this is an easy task for us
Phase 2: Eliminate Bangungot
When we cleared the first room we proceed to the second room where MVP Bangungot spawns. He will be lurking around the small room and it's not hard to find him. Sadness immediately laid down Land Protect to prevent the team from receiving area of effect damages. Our team just face tanks the MVP while sending out our highest damaging skill.
Bangungot is formidable MVP because he has skills to counter a good party set up. He has Lord of Vermillion which is the most annoying spell at its disposal. He constantly use the Thunderstorm and Lord of Vermillion which mostly kill a chunk of our party. He can instantly cripple a tank by casting Dispell and remove support ground spells by using Ganbantein. He also have Critical Wounds which slows down the potting ability of the tank.
*Loop:
At this point the loop happens when the team failed to eliminate Bangungot within the time frame of 2 to 3 minutes. When the loop kicks in, all members will spawn near the portal of the second room. Dead Players when the loop kicks in will be resurrected and spawn on the same spot with the rest of the team but with low health.
Bangungot will be INVULNERABLE at this point and trying to heal himself back. Do not attack Bangungot because it's useless. The team is looped back to Phase 1 mechanics so the team must clear the first room. After the first room is cleared Phase 2 mechanics immediately follows. Each time the team goes back into Phase 2 mechanics as part of the loop there will be an increasing number of Bangungot's Mananangal inside the second room. This will make the MVP killing more challenging.
Phase 3: The Pillar of Spirit
Fortunately because of our powerful MVP killers we reached phase 3 fast being caught up in the loop only twice. Bangungot turned into an Elder Willow named "Pillar of Spirit". The team needs to kill the spirit within 1 minute but there is a catch. The spirit has 250 HP and only takes 1 damage per hit which is similar to the Emperium.
Since our team was prepared, as soon as Bangungot transformed into a Pillar of Spirit our attackspeed based members team up to attack the pillar and successfully killed the MVP.
*Loop:
At this point another loop will happen. When the team failed to kill the spirit within the allotted period, Bangungot will be resurrected in full health and the team will be looped back to Phase 2.
You'll know when your team is stuck when you'll performing an endless cycle of the different phases. The dungeon is only giving adventurers 1 hour to finish the instance.
Comments:
Planning the team composition for the dungeon is a must. Critical roles like MVP killer and attackspeed players should be the priority when recruiting party members to successfully complete the dungeon. A good party would pretty much complete the dungeon in a straight forward manner. Failing to do so will end up getting caught in an endless loop.
