The new Ragnarok Online Philippines server has been re-launched with a different server setting. It is called Revo Classic server in which they promised to give players an experience of both classic and renewal settings. But the question is how exactly is Revo Classic setting?
Players are very eager to experience the game again regardless of what was in stored for us. We had a glimpse of the new server setting through the Closed Beta Test that run from June 20, 2017 until June 26, 2017. I had a nostalgia rush upon login because I will be able to play the game again after 2 years of hiatus. Though, I kept in mind about the leveling goals so that's what I did from the start. Even if I am rushing I, together with my friends, still have time to list the break down on which part is classic and which part is renewal. The list that I have were based on my own experience or my friends experience. Feel free to add other details or correct our info or confirm info on our list.

Classic
- Experience Chart
- No level gap penalty
- Job class limited to 2-1 then 2-2 afterwards
- Monster Spawn
- Job change quest for 1st jobs
- Explorable map is until Juno
- Old Morroc Town but New Payon
Renewal
- All Stats (including damage and defense calculation)
- All Equipment (weapons and armors)
- All Cards (Archer Skeleton change is implemented)
- All Skills but Fixed Cast time has been removed
- All MVP Skills and mobs
- All UI (including customize-able chat box)
- Monster Drop (ingredients for 3rd job skills are being dropped)
- Training Grounds
- Party Even Share Gap (15 levels)
- WoE Emperium (1 damage per hit with 700 HP)
Conclusion:
I was able to play from Beta days or the Classic setting until the 3rd jobs or the Renewal setting so I was able to experience both worlds. The Revo Classic setting based on my first hand experience during CBT is more like playing in Renewal setting with limited Episodes. The monster spawn, limited available map and limited job class is the factor that lets you feel the Classic setting.

In renewal, cast time is composed of 2 parts, 'fixed' and 'variable', and only the variable part can be reduced by stats and cast reduction effects. while the latter is constant. Hope that answers your question

DeleteUnfortunately stats is also renewal so 150 dex is no longer no cast time. Both INT and DEX contributes on the cast time reduction. but the reduction from INT is lower than the reduction from DEX. I forgot the exact number to achieve no cast but it is not possible with our current set-up.

DeleteIf I may contrbute. Nag test ako sa renewal na private server vs yung experience ng wizard ko sa CBT, tama nga mas mabilis cast time sa CBT kasi wala nga ata fixed. And my opinion is I think the 20% FCT is also now VCT. So 100% of the cast time is VCT. Kasi yung energy coat pure 5 secs FCT supposedly. If tinanggal lang yung FCT dapat no cast time na sya. Pero meron parin sa CBT, masmabilis nga lang compared sa renewal na pure 5 secs FCT.

DeleteMedyo broad ang tanong mo. karamihan ng high level monsters ang nagdrop ng brigan at cyfar. hanapin mo na lang sa mga RO database. pero as quick answer Orc Lady may cyfar, Raydric at Stalactic Golem may brigan. Most common arrows na gamit ng hunter is Silver and Fire pero isipin mo din yung element ng target monster mo.

ReplyDeleteboth are effective but if you'll choose 1 then use hydra card since it has higher modifier. Also note that racial cards and size cards only modify Weapon ATK part and NOT the Status ATK part. choose a high ATK weapon in compounding these cards.

ReplyDeleteStats are renewal. hindi na po gagana yung divisible by 10 kasi linear na yung increase sa damage. unfortunately ang renewal build heavily favor sa gears more than stats. ituloy mo na lang din yung build mo pero mas mag invest ka sa gears.

Saka yung weapon, particularly Rod, gives fix matk instead of percentage. Kailangan talaga ng good weapon for good matk. I find heal skill lackluster, kahit bolt skills. Sad
ReplyDeleteHigher INT gives you faster cast-time so invest some of your stats on your vit. In terms of higher Magic Damage, use Evil Bone Wand this gives a higher MATK and if you cant afford this yet you can buy Arc Wand[2] and add Fabre Cards for more HP. Why not Drops Card for Dex? High Dex build is no more feasible with revo-classic settings. Just go for VIT for more survivability.

Either high INT or high DEX kaw na mag decide. yng left over stat is laging sa VIT na pupunta. yun DEX hindi naman useless kasi source of damage ng range at hit rate ng mga physical class. Kung high DEX ka kahit papano ramdam mo pa din naman yung reduction sa cast time lalo na sa wizard skills

upgraded lvl3 or lvl4 weapon is still better weapon in my opinion. but if we are only talking with lvl1 weapon then yes andre card is better than hydra.

I saw in classic that a triple smashing bloody works wonders, but seeing the new PRO is using renewal settings regarding atk, it would suck? So would an ice lance be useful to 1 shot them using pierce or there's something else that's better?

Hahaha afk vendor mode ako sa alberta. Hindi ko sure kung kaya ma one shot eh. pero sa renewal higher attack weapons are better so yung ice lance is better option than 4 carded pike.

DeleteAll spawns are classic except for anubis which I'm confused why it was implemented. Maybe to give priest a happy place.

The over upgraded katar is better in terms of damage. generally aim for an over upgraded lvl3 or lvl4 weapon.

ReplyDeletenerf in a sense na binago kasi yung damage computation. yung modified ng mga % cards ngayon is sa Weapon attack na lang. Unlike before ang % cards is yung total attack mo which includes status attack and weapon attack.

DeleteSir Herbert, anu po maganda sa left hand ng dual dagger, quad elemental/race card paren po na main gauche or triple elemental/race card na gladius? kase po yung minomodify ng elemental/race card is yung atk ng mismong weapon, eh mas malakas po gladius sa main gauche..

ReplyDeleteWith both high end gears tingin ko pareho lang sila. Pero mas well rounded ang Crit Assassin kasi kahit anong target consistent sya unlike dual dagger na mag struggle na Large type monsters at yung mga high def monsters.

yung computation mo is classic. renewal computation only involves the weapon attack part for % modifier from cards.

ReplyDeletesorry i cannot say but i think generally katar weapons will have faster attack speed since dual daggers will have attack speed penalties for both weapons.

Deletethey can still be good emperium breakers but overall they are not that competitive in WOE scene. Their moment will still be on transcendent.
DeleteWhat type of Assassin will rise on transcendent? Never played RO with transcendent job. Is Crit type good when changed to SinX?
DeleteSonic BLow + Enchant Deadly Poison build will be the redeeming build for transcendent Sinx. it will rival the Asura Strike build of Champions. Crit + Deadly Poison build can be ok on PVM but I'm still not convinced with the build.
