Bakonawa Dungeon - 1st Attempt

Overview:
Bakonawa dungeon is one of the three instance dungeon introduced during the Port Malaya patch. The dungeon will unfold the legent behind the mythical creature Bakonawa. Bakonawa drops ingredients which can be used to create a Bakonawa Tattoo. The dungeon has 5 days cool down inorder to re-enter.

Requirements:
Finish the not so long prerequisite quests for Port Malaya. The quest guides can be viewed at iROwiki site under Port Malaya section.

The Cast:
The party composition of this run is an MVP killer and everyone else are support. The dungeon does not have mobs so mob control roles are not needed.

The Adventure:
My friends and I had plan this adventure in advance. We required all interested adventurers to finish the prerequisite quests individually so that we will just do the instance dungeon as a group. Unfortunately only 4 of us finished all the requirements so we still go on with the adventure.
We left Port Malaya and traveled to the east map. We walked on the field until we reached the lower right part of the map where Bakonawa Cave is located. We navigate inside the dungeon until we reached Taho. Taho is responsible in creating the instance.


We talked to Taho and trigger the instance dungeon. The four of us is very much prepared for this dungeon. We are also filled with beneficial consumables because we heard that Bakonawa is stronger than the other 3 port malaya MVPs.


When the instance is ready, we all entered the dungeon. We buff up ourselves before proceeding into the lake. From afar we can already see Bakonawa waiting for it's prey.


Phase 1:
As I have mentioned earlier, we are prepared on this instance so we rushed towards the lake and prepare to face Bakonawa. I laid my Land Protect on the piece of land infront of Bakonawa. At this point Bakonawa is immovable and constantly casts AoE spells. In the actual battle, he became useless because of the Land Protect. Our Genetic bomabarded Bakonawa with Acid Bomb with the aid of Lex Aeterna from our Archbishop and Bragi's Poem from our Minstrel. I felt that I'm not that useful so I just attempted to Spell Break him. Bakonawa is down in less than a minute.

Phase 2:
At this point Bakonawa is attempting to swallow the moon so the party must ring the gong on each side of the lake. The banging of gong is like hitting a plant type monster until it is down. This part of the quest is easier for us since wa have a Minstrel with berserk guitar. He knocked out all the gongs in less than a minute too. For those who don't know Berserk guitar automatically gives maximum attack speed to the user at the cost of halved damage.


Phase 3:
Because we interupted Bakonawa's attempt to swallow the moon, he'll be enraged at the center of the lake. He is still immovable even on this version. So we went to the center of the lake again to face the stronger version of Bakonawa. As usual I laid my Land Protect and the rest of the team proceed with the Acid Bomb kill. In less than a minute we killed Bakonawa.

Treasure box appeared and luckily we were able to get a Bakonawa Doll.


We went back to Taho to tell him what happened. He rewarded us with 5 Ancient Grudge as a reward.


Comments:
The dungeon is very easy, straight forward and does not have complecated mechanics. It is a very easy dungeon on a max leveled players. A genetic with Detale Armor can easily solo this dungeon. It is noted that the key to this dungeon is the laying of Land Protect.
