Lady Luck Shine

The global announcement of rare items received by players started when pRO released Lucky Scrolls with epic rare boss cards. From what I observed before, the GMs are being accused of releasing these promising Lucky Scrolls but none of the players receive the rare items from these scrolls like boss cards. I think to prove these notion wrong they implemented the "Lady Luck" global message

Just got lucky

To make things clear "Lady Luck" is not a quest! It is a global message that tells the whole Midgard that a certain player has aquired a rare item from somewhere. The convention used for the global message is listed below.

Global Message for Lady Luck

Citizens of Midgard, Lady Luck shines upon [player name]!! [Source] has awarded the player with '[Rare Item]' !!

Where:

Player Name - character who received the rare item into his inventory
Source - can be Lucky Scroll, Treasure Box, MVP monster or normal monster
Rare Item - any of the predefined list of items created by the GMs
    - can be a card, an equipment, OBB, OVB and others
    - do note that not all rare items are being broadcast

Comments:

The global announcement feature is a good addition to pRO. It's a great way of determining who aquired a boss card or any rare item. It also clearly shows that rare items can be acquired from lucky scrolls. However considering the most populated servers, the global message can be annoying when it floods our message boxes. This usually happens when a promo lucky scrolls comes out and people starts to open them simultaneously. Another instance that could flood our message boxes is when a guild master opens treasure boxes and receive items which can trigger the global message.

I hope that some of the items on the predefined list be removed. Some of the things that comes to my mind are OVB, Fire Blend, Raydric Card, headgears and other not so appealing items. In this way it will lessen the flood it cost to our message boxes.
