Valkyrie Agit Lords 2010 - Day 1

The Agit Lords Season has once again made its way to our dear Valkyrie server. Last March 10, 2010, all Agits on both WoE 1 and WoE 2 been taken over by the Game Masters. The scoring during this season is somewhat different in which if focuses more on conquering rather than on defending. For the complete Agit Lords mechanics and time line, please visit the official pRO site. For the current Agit scoring, please visit the Agit Lords Scoring site.

The start of the Agit Lords is one of the most important parts of the Ragnarok Philippine Championship (RPC) season. During the first day, my current guild is not participating on the launch of the Agit Lords so I decided to join another guild to experience the adrenaline rush of this season. I am honored to join the guild Prestige with their guild master Valour during the launched day of RPC scoring.

Just like what I have mentioned earlier, all Agits has been taken over by the game master specifically GM Spade of the guild RWC Agit Lords 2010. I don’t remember seeing GM Spade as a part of the official GM Team but anyways the guild flags tells us so. Our guild main target for the siege is to take over Mardol and conquer it from the GM Team. From what I have understood, Mardol is the only Agit, which holds the Kan-Laon points or Honor points (from RPC 2009) during the first phase. The guild with the highest Kan-Laon points will have a sure slot on RPC 2010. And so the alliance of Prestige is aiming for this precious castle on the first day while racing with the opposing guild Kingdom of Justice on the ownership.

Upon entering Mardol, I never expected that conquering this Agit would be more painful than I expected. The entrance of castle is full of Thorns. The thorns summoned are same as the thorns used during the No Fear Siege Event. For those who don’t know, these thorns can only be found at the 100th floor of the Endless Tower together with their master Entweihen Crothen. It’s really hard to make it through the entrance because of the large damage output of the thorns and the fact that other thorns are specializing in different aspects like magic and support. The early part of the siege has quickly depleted our supply on hp restoring items and turned out to be the siege in which you survive if still have potions to use. The first hour seems hopeless for everyone.

As the alliance tries it’s best to move further from the guardian stone going to the barricades, even at the barricades there were few thorns being used to reinforced the defense of the agit. The whole time on that Agit is like racing with the other guilds on who can survive the thorns while breaking the castles defense. Each successful barricade breaks means all guilds have an equal opportunity on moving a step closer on the Emperium room.

During the last thirty minutes, most of the guilds are now racing towards the last barricade. Not too long did our guild realize that even at the third barricade there were a lot of thorns planted. After a few struggles and strategies on how to pass the thorns of the third barricade, the guild Kingdom of Justice had finally broken the Emperium and claimed the Mardol agit their own.

In the end, it was harder for the alliance to conquer the castle because the opposing guild has now the castle advantage. First of all they now have the advantage of using the flag warps for easier navigation of the whole map and possibly use it to pass thru the thorns. Second the thorns are still there even after the successful Emperium breaking and the opposing guild can take advantage of this. Third most of the members already have a few supplies to spend. The alliances then decided conquer a different Agit. To our surprise, the other Agits doesn’t have any thorns.

Good Luck to all Valkyrie Guilds and let’s enjoy this RPC season!!
