Endless Tower- Third Attempt

Overview:
Ragnarok Online has recently added a unique feature called instance dungeons. These dungeons are uniquely created for your party. Your party will be the only people who will be using that map. This maps has time limits in which you could finish the whole instance. The Endless Tower Dungeon is an instance dungeon which has been added during the Episode 12: Demise of Morroc. The Endless Tower is not really endless. It composes of 102 floors where the MVP Naght Seiger resides on the topmost floor. The time limit of finishing the dungeon is 4hours. For more info regarding the Endless Tower you may refer to iROwiki.

Attempts:
Our first attempt was simply to get to understand how an instance dungeon works and getting to know the mechanics of Endless Tower. The party was just small which is composed of a High Priest, a High Wizard and a Biochemist. We managed reached up to the 60th floor of the tower. Not bad for a start.

Our second attempt was to give another shot on Endless Tower with a more prepared party. The party is composed of a High Priest, a High Wizard, a Biochemist and a Bard. The party was somewhat boosted with the help of Bragi’s Poem of the Bard. Mobs were easy controlled and wiped out because of successive Storm Gusts and other spells. This time we went further up and ended at the 65th floor.

Now our third attempt has a bigger party and a more prepared one. The people behind my party we’re my real life friends plus my brother who used the Bard. As for me, I am using my dream character the Biochemist with my vanilmirth named Yahir. Our complete party line up is composed of the following:
  • Rich Kid Herbert a Biochemist – main MVP killer and support with Potion Pitcher
  • *~Rednegel~* a Paladin – tanker and support with Battle Chant and Heal
  • Hyper_Tori a High Wizard – mob control and secondary MVP killer
  • chazrelle a High Priest – main support
  • Rokuemon Matsuki a Bard – support with Bragi’s Poem and Idun’s Apple

The Adventure:
First off we had our save point at Alberta. Then we proceeded at the Sea Captain NPC (Non-playing Character) which will take us to the Endless Tower Island.

The Sea Captain will then transport us to the Endless Tower in exchange for 10,000z each as a fare. Upon arrival, you might be amazed with the super zoomed out scene that your character will look very small. In order to get to the tower the party leader must first talk to the Tower Protection Stone to create an instance for the party. And then your party will be in stand-by mode. Your party will wait until the request has been granted then it will prompt that the instance dungeon is already available.

The floors on the Endless tower could be distinguished using the flames on the torches. When the flame is orange it means that the spawns are normal monsters and when the flame is green it means that the floor has an MVP. For the rest of the pictures you will dominantly see MVP shots. But most MVP shots are vague because of the skill effects. T_T

5th Floor: Golden Thief Bug
Difficulty: Super Easy
Monsters: Golden Thief Bug, Female Thief Bug, Male Thief Bug, Thief Bug and Thief Bug Egg
Notes: The mobs on this floor are all bugs and unnoticed since Storm Gust easily wiped them out in an instant. The MVP Golden Thief Bug is also quite easy I have used about 2 pairs of bottles for him.

10th Floor: Mistress
Difficulty: Easy
Monsters: Mistress, Giant Hornet and Hornet
Notes: Mobs are composed of Giant Hornets and Hornets which are easily been wiped out with Storm Gust. The MVP Mistress is very wise to use Pnuema when I threw Acid Bomb on her. But we still managed to kill her with successive Acid Bomb.

15th Floor: Maya and Preeoni
Difficulty: Easy
Monsters: Maya, Preeoni, Andre, Deniro, Piere and Ant Egg
Notes: Mobs here is composed of ants which is easily been wiped out with Storm Gust. Our tanker has mobbed both Preeoni and Maya. Preeoni suddenly casted Area Petrification which immobilizes me for a while but when I regained my status I immediately bombarded Maya with Acid Bomb. When Maya has been finally defeated I changed target to Preeoni.

20th Floor: Drake
Difficulty: Easy
Monsters: Drake and Pirate Skeleton
Notes: Mobs available are all Pirate Skeleton which are all manageable. The MVP Drake is also easy with a tank. I just threw my bottles endlessly then *woot* I’m the MVP. But It’s expected that I’m the MVP since I’m the main killer.

25th Floor: Moonlight Flower
Difficulty: Average
Monsters: Moonlight Flower, Cat o’ Nine Tails and Ninetails
Notes: Mobs here are composed of Cat o’ Nine Tails and Ninetails and are manageable until Moonlight came to the scene. Our High Wizard could not kill them with an AoE (Area of Effect) spell because Moonlight Flower continuously casting Land Protect which negates any AoE spells. On my part, I had a hard time singling out Moonlight Flower because she is hiding among her mob. It took me some time before I identified Moonlight Flower among the monsters and immediately bombarded her with Acid Bomb.

30th Floor: White Lady
Difficulty: Average
Monsters: White Lady and Evil Nymph
Notes: The MVP White Lady is easy but the mob of Evil Nymph makes it a bit challenging. The Evil Nymphs has a high tolerance to magic attacks which takes time to wipe them out. They even have Heal to regain their health which extends their life. What makes White Lady easy is the fact that she casts Sanctuary which heals our tank. Storm Gust alone is having a hard time taking down White Lady so I also helped by throwing my bottles.

32nd Floor: Goblin Leader
I have added this floor since it’s a milestone for Yahir my beloved vanilmirth. He has successfully won over Goblin Leader with me as his support.

35th Floor: Turtle General
Difficulty: Average
Monster: Turtle General, Freezer, Heater, Permeter, Assaulter and Solider
Notes: All turtle mobs are present in this room. The variation of elements on the monsters makes this room challenging. It triggers our High Wizard to cast all available AoE spells namely Meteor Storm, Lord of Vermillion and Storm Gust to wipe mobs. Casting those spells makes our screen chaotic. Nonetheless tanking the MVP Turtle General is smooth and we were able to kill him immediately.

40th Floor: Samurai Specter
Difficulty: Difficult
Monsters: Samurai Specter, Miyabi Doll, Shinobi, Tengu, Firelock Soldier and Karakasa
Notes: The mobs in this room is very diverse which is composed of easy to kill and hard to kill mobs. The MVP Samurai Specter is also difficult to deal with. He casts Soul Destroyer and Brandish Spear which has a very high damage output. While I was throwing Acid Bomb at him he suddenly casts Brandish Spear which killed me and our Bard. Our High Priest immediately Resurrect me so that I could continue throwing Acid Bomb. I should have survived on the attack if I am positioned at the side. >_<

45th Floor: Osiris
Difficulty: Difficult
Monsters: Osiris, Mummy, Ancient Mummy and Verit
Notes: The mobs are easy to kill because they eat up all damage coming from our High Wizard but MVP Osiris is very aggressive and challenging. His Meteor Strike has a large AoE with a high damage output which wounded our tank that much but he easily recovers his health with the help of Heal from our High Priest and Potion Pitcher coming from me.

50th Floor: Amon Ra and Pharaoh
Difficulty: Average
Mobs: Pharaoh, Amon Ra, Anubis, Matyr and Marduk.
Notes: Mobs which composed of Matyr, Marduk and Anubis is manageable. On a side note, all of us in the party have been used to level up at the Anubis map which makes this room very manageable for us. MVP Pharaoh is very easy to deal with just a few throw of Acid Bomb and he’s dead. Amon Ra on the other hand is very challenging. Although he’s an immobile MVP he could readily teleport to change position. Because of his high HP I have thrown a lot of bottles at him before he has defeated.

55th Floor: Evil Snake Lord
Difficulty: Average
Monsters: Evil Snake Lord, Medusa, Isis and Sidewinder
Notes: This room is not that difficult considering that the monsters here are easily been deal with an AoE spell from our High Wizard. The MVP Evil Snake Lord is also very manageable. I could not throw Acid Bomb at him since he’s a ghost type monster. My skill will just miss so I just leave the job to my vanilmirth and our High Wizard which constantly casts Storm Gust on him.

57th Floor: Mastering, Ghostring, Angeling, Deviling and Archangeling
I have added this floor because all the cute Poring type monsters are in this room. It’s really quite amazing that Poring is one of the most famous monsters that Ragnarok Online has. Eventhough It’s against our will to wipe them out we have to do it so that we could proceed to the next room.

60th Floor: Doppelganger and Boss Enigem Cenia
Difficulty: Very Difficult
Monsters: Doppelganger, Boss Enigem Cenia, Enigem Cenia, Errende Ebecee, Kavatch Icarus, Laurell Weinder, Whickebine Tres and Armeyer Dinze
Notes: The mobs here are quite manageable but annoying. MVP Boss Enigem Cenia was the first one that we fought. I threw Acid Bomb endlessly before she was able to cast Power Up and might have the capacity to kill our tank. MVP Doppelganger is also difficult to handle. He hides on his Nightmare mobs which are ghost property monsters. The mobs should constantly be cleared so that I have a clear shot on him. I also turned off my effect just to see Doppelganger. Both MVPs and mobs has a semi-transparent appearance which makes them very hard to spot.

65th Floor: Atroce
Difficulty: Difficult
Monster: Atroce and Galion
Notes: The Gallion plus his Raween mob is quite manageable. Our tank could withstand the normal attacks of MVP Atroce. Once he cast Power Up our tank could not bear his Meteor Assault. The remedy that we have is to quickly defeat him by continuously throwing Acid Bomb. It takes sometime before we were able to knock him out. We spent some time trying to Revive and throw spells on him.

70th Floor: Orc Hero and Orc Lord
Difficulty: Difficult
Monsters: Orc Hero, Orc Lord and Orc Baby
Notes: The mobs here are very easy since it’s just Orc Babies. Orc Hero is also easy since just a few Acid Bombs and he’s dead. Orc Lord is the real challenge in this room. When he casts Earthquake all of us in the party are wiped out. The item Token of Zigfried which instantly resurrected us makes this room manageable. I have used around 5 Token of Zigfried before we were able to kill Orc Lord.

75th Floor: Baphomet and Dark Lord
Difficulty: Very Difficult
Monsters: Baphomet, Dark Lord, Baphomet jr. and Dark Illusion
Notes: Both mob and MVP is difficult. I have to use Acid Bomb on the Dark Illusions just to help in mob control. Our party deals with MVP Baphomet first. Baphomet is somewhat manageable maybe because his attacks are targeted to our tank and I have the luxury of throwing Acid Bomb on him with ease. He also possesses the skill Earthquake which constantly wipes our party. After totally eliminating Baphomet we tried to sneak thru MVP Dark Lord. Dark Lord is also challenging and deceiving at the same time. He looks like his mob. T_T.  When he casts Hell’s Judgement my HP drops to about 10% while our wizard has already a red HP bar. Our tank is sturdily tanking Dark Lord while I constantly cast Acid Bomb. At some point I also threw Potion Pitcher on myself after Dark Lord cast Hell’s Judgement just to prevent dying.

80th Floor: Fallen Bishop Hibram
Difficulty: Difficult
Monsters: Fallen Bishop Hibram and Necromancer
Notes: Necromancer and his mob is manageable. The MVP Fallen Bishop Hibram is the real challenge on this room. His normal attack plus his Banshee mobs has a high damage which is hard to tolerate. Our tank has also a hard time tanking him. Even if we constantly use Token of Zigfried for Resurrection then attack him we failed to kill him.

We have reached our 4hour time limit in this room. We are forced to get out of the tower which ended our adventure at Endless Tower. Maybe our party is quite small for the job. Maybe another attempt with a larger party will take us further up the tower.

Even if we did not reach the top floor we are able to move further up as compared to our previous attempts. We have enjoyed the experience of killing MVPs, looting rares and have a memorable adventure at the Memorial Dungeon. It is also a way of bonding with my real life friends and my brother.
