Maestro Job Change Experience

Overview:
Maestros are the 3rd jobs for Bards and Minstrels. Their role has been split into offensive and support. Their offensive role has been boost with Severe Rainstorm, Reverberation etc. Their support role has been enhanced with the aid of Windmill Rush, Echo Song and Harmonize. Their debuff skills has also been enforced with Despair Song, Deep Sleep Lulluby and Siren’s Voice. Before they have Songs/Dances and Ensembles now they have Chorus Skills. Chorus Skills provides buffs in which it has stronger effectiveness with each Maestro and Wanderer in the party like Dance with Warg, Song of Mana etc.

Foreword:

This is not a job change guide. I’m making this write up to relay my personal experience with the job change for Maestro. I may not be able to give the step by step procedure of the job change but I will relay some tips on the do’s and don’ts for the job change. The guide I used for the Job change is found at Ragnaboards.

My Story:

The adventure of turning into a Maestro starts at pier in the town of Alberta. Locate Karian and he tells you to investigate on the Minstrel Song. The search will begin in Prontera City.

At Prontera City, you will be asking some people finding clues regarding the Minstrel Song. At some point you will be visiting a woman who will give you a hint. She tells you that the Minstrel Song is a little boy.

Go Back to Karian and he’ll be giving other leads on finding the Minstrel Song. He’ll then ask you to go to the Airship going to Hugel. Thanks to the guide I used the airship that you must board is the International airship with flight Izlude-Rachel-Juno. While at the airship a Sea-sick bard is standing at the corner of the airship. It appears to be Karian having a hard time travelling with an airship.

Karian suddenly faints and you’ll find yourself inside an Inn in Hugel. He’ll ask you to investigate further at the Hugel Bar. At the Bar, you will be receiving a clue that the last sighting of the Minstrel Song is at the Thanatos Tower.

The task sounds hard because it mentions the Thanatos Tower but in reality you’ll be investigating the area before entering the Thanatos Tower itself. Walk slowly until you'll receive a Receipt. Then Kairan appears to watch on your investigation.

The Receipt serves as a hard evidence on the existence and whereabouts of the Minstrel Song. If you read the Receipt closely it gives you a clue that it’s from Juno so the next destination is in Juno.

At Juno, talk to Mr.Click and he’ll hand you a Picture of Song, A Minstrel. Together with the picture you’ll also receive a quest to kill 33 Teddy Bears. At this point prepare your battle gears because you’ll be engaging in battle with Teddy Bears.

Pre-renewal the teddy bears are located inside the Mine Dungeon. However in renewal, there are a lot of monster relocations that happened. Presently the map which contains the highest Teddy Bear spawn according to the guide is at Einbroch Field 3. From Einbroch exit north then exit west.

Finish the quest by killing 33 Teddy Bears

After finishing the quest, go to Lighthalzen and meet with a little girl. The girl will be attracted to the Teddy Bear. Before you finish talking with the girl Karian appears and tells you to accompany him in Ice Dungeon.

At the Ice dungeon 1 entrance, A message that appears to be the Minstrel Song pops out. Because of the freezing air of Ice Dungeon you passed out and find yourself in Rachel. Talk to the woman who took care of you while you faint and Karian will suddenly appear again.

The woman will then tell you to go to the boat in Veins. The boat she’s referring to is the one used to travel in nameless island. Be careful on this map because there are spawns of Drosera and Muscipulars on the area that might interrupt you on the quest. Together with Karian, you will be boarding this boat in going to Comodo. However the boat has a hole and water rushes into your boat. A selection window will pop out but always choose “Throw the water out”. Of coarse you need to survive on a sinking boat so don't do anything aside form throwing the water out!

After the dramatic boat ride, Karian will be relieved that you have reached Comodo alive. At the area, you need to continue your investigation on the Minstrel Song. She will be telling you that the Minstrel Song is resting in Quiet Place in Morroc.

Go to the map where the Assassin Guild is located and at the path going to the guild a message hidden in the sand appears. Karian suddenly appear there. He’ll ask you to visit the Clock Tower in Al de Baran because he remembers something there.

At the Al de Baran near the portal going to the Clock Tower a pop up message appears. Karian will appear there also. Then he’ll ask you to visit the south of Prontera City because he remembers something there also.

At the south Prontera gates, Karian appears and sings. Then you’ll be warped into a room.

Karian reveals his true Identity! He is the Minstrel Song that you are investigating. Because of your dedication he’ll be changing you into a Maestro. Congratulations!

Just for an added note, doing the job change quest with premium service will help you a lot because of the dungeon warp access.

As part of your job change you will be rewarded with a Maestro exclusive headgear Minstrel Song Hat [1] and a third job exclusive accessory Green Apple.

Comments:

The Maestro Job change is an adventurous one. It lets you travel around Midgard looking for clues regarding the Minstrel Song. The job change takes time because of the travel time needed to go to designated maps. The challenging part of the quest is hunting for the Teddy Bears because Vulcan Arrow as an offensive skill has now been nerfed. If you are lucky enough to bring a bow for Double Strafe or phen carded accessory for Vulcan arrow then this part will be easy. An extra challenge has been added for the quest in our server because one of the maps in going to the Assassin Guild is PK. With regards to the story line, the job change is well thought of and has directions. I would say the whole experience is fun and satisfying.
